Mayor of Thunderhill (@Mullin_95) reported from Swan River, Manitoba
Got fed up with the Xplornet speeds , called in and the guy actually said oh yeah defiantly looks like there’s issues. About 40 min later and I got $50 a month off my bill until they get the tower fixed. Internet still isn’t the best but I’m finally paying for the speeds I get.

@BaldurBarons @Xplornet @SucksXplornet By the time it came back on I was still on hold 🙄 I feel bad for the people I told this was good internet back in the Netset days.

@kenny_moo @Xplornet I was only near that when my service was new. It's consistently gone down to this level. During a speed test I peaked at 17 once, but the average was only 8.

@bigbushelsag @olblue81 @Xplornet I refuse to support a project that pollutes our sky with >40K objects, doesn’t allow the escape of ubiquitous internet coverage and only supports deep pockets.

@waylan_deith @Xplornet I’ve never gotten faster then 2mbps EVER even on my best days

@Xplornet Look, another pointless tweet from xplornet that has nothing to do with their terrible service.

@Xplornet How much of the bandwidth actually goes to the customer besides being used for bitcoin mining and personal information nabbing for advertisers?
-
Shannon Chant (@shannon_chant) reported
@olblue81 @Xplornet We used to have it. Between crappy speeds and customer service we went to unlimited data on our cell phones for a bit. We have a local guy now that is better a lot of the time

Chad Peters (@cpwcsk) reported
@olblue81 @Xplornet I am on the 25mb/200 satellite service, so I am paying over double what you are. I never get anywhere close to that anymore I called @woodrivercontr1 over a month ago about switching but they have never returned my phone call so 😒

Trent Sundgaard (@solar_chicken) reported
@olblue81 @Xplornet I have CCI, which is indirectly Xplorenet. I get what I pay for 30/2Mbps. DYK -Xplorenet sold to StonePeak - US based corp. No longer Cdn company. Rural broadband in Canada is no longer a Cdn solution.

@Shinzah321 @kevdevlyn @Xplornet What I mean is, the CRTC has actually approved it, and people in Canada already have the service. It's happening. I'm hopeful their timeline of "early 2021" for a more widespread rollout pans out. Regardless how long it takes, I'm still looking forward to that call to Xplornet.

@olblue81 @Xplornet Average speedtest results are 6mbps over the last six months. Average results in the middle of the night (15mbps+) skew that number up, and during the day (2mbps) skew it down. Package speed is 25mbps.
