@kingstonmeeting No I didn’t try. My computer is downstairs. And it never came on Cogeco 13. The OHL skates on!! Thanks for asking!

  • SteveCoville Steve Coville (@SteveCoville) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@vdavies65 We don't have that issue with Cogeco or Telus.. but I'm not surprised if Bell or Rogers pulled that stunt especially if you use their entire digital platform. CRTC may have to consider breaking them up they're like the oil companies in the 1920's

  • SteveCoville Steve Coville (@SteveCoville) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@JCCWhyte @CKWS_TV Now that was slow.. took 1'15" to send.. cogeco must be throttling broadband to prevent another crash

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@cogeco KINGSTON - can anyone help.. we have channel 713 CBS and it is airing Global Toronto? For 3 days as well now CBC News 765 has pixilated picture and garbled voices.

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

For some time now CBC news on channel 765 with Cogeco is annoying. Is it Cogeco or CBC. Constantly breaking up. The remote address by Ford right now is terrible. Can hardly understand 3 words in a row. Even from the main feed today during news it was breaking up.

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@koopy @Xplornet @elonmusk Damn we could use this in town now. Over 32 people on our node during the day now. Used to be 3 or 4. Some days Internet is slooow. Cogeco needs to pay attention as well.

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

Watching CBC news for the last several days via Cogeco it is terrible. Breaks up constantly like.we would have during a bad storm. Tonight it is impossible. What is this about?

  • SteveCoville Steve Coville (@SteveCoville) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@cogecohelps @cogeco @TELUS Every thing fine on cable service no interruption there it's either the cellular network and/or internet having an interruption.. all seems to be ok for now

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@CBCNews whats wrong with the CBC TV reception. It has been breaking up since last night. So bad this morning we cant watch our news. Just curious if it is caused by our local Cogeco provider or is everyone seeing the same issue. ?? Thank you. From Mrs D. Kingston Ontario

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@CBCNews hey CBC who can we report your TV reception has been awful for 2 days now. It breaks up the picture & causing voices to be broken up. I am in Kingston. It cant be Cogeco because every other channel is just fine. We are now day 3 with this. Miss our news.

  • vdavies65 Valerie Davies (@vdavies65) reported from Kingston, Ontario

Major Internet Outage with Cogeco seems to be wide spread in Ontario.

  • SteveCoville Steve Coville (@SteveCoville) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@eliteuser26 Still having issues apparently its bigger than Ontario whatever network or server network cogeco is using..

  • terra_tara tlw (@terra_tara) reported from Kingston, Ontario

And now being told "so you don't want my help" when I ask to speak to a manager. Poor customer service is INFURIATING. Even moreso for someone who works in Customer Service. #Cogeco

  • kingstonbrett Brett Christopher (@kingstonbrett) reported from Kingston, Ontario

@cogecohelps I’m currently hotspotting three online classrooms at my house because our @cogeco internet services are down again. What’s up? (Other than my cellphone bill)

Cogeco Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • ZororayiM @Donald J Tantrum 🍼 (@ZororayiM) reported

.@CRTCeng given the dismal failure by .@Rogers aka Robbers to address a countrywide outage (72 hrs and counting just check the tweets on their support handle), will you please step in and prevent the Cogeco merger. We need more not less competition.

  • kevinmenzel Kevin Menzel (@kevinmenzel) reported

Rogers/Bell/Cogeco/Telus do NOT have a monopoly - not even close - on enterprise level, full BGP-tables internet access in Canada. So when critical services go down because someone chose "just Rogers" that was the choice to have a single point of failure.

  • theLLCoolK Karl-Heinz Paschek (@theLLCoolK) reported

@prairiecentrist Square can run on a hotspot though through any cellular provider. Say Starlink and Rogers go down, maybe cogeco shits the bed. Someone (manager/employee) with another provider could power it up accordingly, and obviously compensated as such.

  • jackgo2 Jackgo (@jackgo2) reported

@theJagmeetSingh @Fifth_Business My service didn’t go out, I have cogeco, we need competition, we need lower prices, not monopolies.

  • MsJTinCanada 🦋Jackie🦋 (@MsJTinCanada) reported

I keep getting warnings from Cogeco about interruptions this coming July 12, but so far my network has been okay. It was wonky yesterday morning, but now it's fine.

  • JoseDominio Joe Dominion (@JoseDominio) reported

@mat_schmaltz Capitalism is the reason why the problem was not worse than it was: there were still lots of other options available because private companies made it so. Millions of people weren't affected by Rogers outage at all, because they were on Shaw, Telus, Cogeco, Videotron, etc.

  • saypoptics ✧ juni! ✧ (@saypoptics) reported

@yaepotchi FRFR .. . as bad as cogeco is im GLAD im on it rn FJDHFHDJ

  • fishcreekbeer Fish Creek Brewing Co. (@fishcreekbeer) reported

@SamyiMo @TheBeaverton Clearly they should have redundancies. The fact Bell, TELUS, Shaw, Cogeco, Videotron, Sasktel, etc. already exist didn’t prevent Interac’s service from going down. How would another 5, 10 or 100 competitors have?

  • BarkMagnet Bark Magnet (@BarkMagnet) reported

@cogecohelps Cogeco is having DHCP problems. I hope this isn’t a router issue like Rogers had!

  • cally_specht Fully Vaccinated! Cally Specht (@cally_specht) reported

@TDougAdair @AmitAryaMD They are attempting to buy Cogeco which to me will make them a monopoly since across Canada they will have far more customers than Bell. Many switch from Bell due to horrid practices like bad treatment of the very staff who disclose a disability they say they support
