So far it seems as if GTA is affected as well after doing some research. It'd be nice if you could answer directly and honestly to there being an outage, and when it can be fixed.

No issues with sound quality on either end. My experience with other VOIP providers (Vonage etc.) and HW is 10+ years out of date. There are adaptors that allow RJ11 phones to connect to VOIP routers.

Then there's all the outages. What happens if there's a fire? She can't call 911 and her house burns because Rogers was down.
