Rogers Issues Reports Near Victoria, British Columbia

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Victoria and nearby locations:

  • connoredwards Connor Edwards (@connoredwards) reported from Oak Bay, British Columbia

Why @Rogers would stop support for its remote DVR app is beyond me. I suspect they assume one will upgrade to their new IPTV service for this single feature. Stupid product decisions like these usually work against them.

  • tm96 tracy martell (@tm96) reported from Oak Bay, British Columbia

Am I the only one in greater #YYJ experiencing GARBAGE wifi from #ShawCable and TERRIBLE data access from @RogersHelps — I haven’t seen LTE on my phone in eons. It’s all sluggish 3G. #FirstWorldProblems but #ComeOn! Pull yourselves together— we pay too much for this subpar svc.

  • troymore Troy More (@troymore) reported from Saanich, British Columbia

@RogersHelps when trying to watch NHL Live the TSN3 feed is constantly buffering. None of the other feeds have this problem.

Rogers Issues Reports

@SuzeMorrison @TekSavvyCSR @RogersHelps Those cases would need a support call to the respective ISP for the appropriate troubleshooting to get fixed. But what about local infrastructure? Cable internet, the most popular internet rn, is shared between you and your close neighbours (like the 8-16 houses right next by).

  • PrinceAriiz Rizzy Riz (@PrinceAriiz) reported

@Rogers just want to let you know, whoever designed your smart home monitoring system lives in ancient times. What a GARBAGE system. My car was broken into 3 times and all 3 times camera dint catch anything. USELESS.

  • RArtarian Roy Artarian (@RArtarian) reported

@RogersHelps It was a while ago since we were arguing about my internet connection. Today my upload speed went down from 22 mbps to 8.41mbps. I saw Rogers truck yesterday and I was expecting something like this...

  • Bryson_M bryson (@Bryson_M) reported

@SuzeMorrison @TekSavvyCSR @RogersHelps The biggest challenge is the fact that, due to hugely inflated rates, it doesn't make sense for indie ISPs like TekSavvy, Start and Distributel to sell services over the fibre network. This means everyone crams on to the affordable cable connections, straining the infrastructure.

  • charlotteher Ch.He (@charlotteher) reported

@SuzeMorrison @RogersHelps definitely! We have to restart the modem several times a day when internet is barely working / not working at all. 🤨 it always comes back on ... just so annoying

  • hibloodpresha Right of Center (@hibloodpresha) reported

@hometownhockey_ @Rogers No cherry no HNIC ..CBC garbage ...#gowokegobroke

  • WarriorWizzy Wizzy Warrior (@WarriorWizzy) reported

@RogersHelps Why is discord stuck on rtc connecting whenever I enter a call? Same thing with my friend who also uses rogers. Any way to fix this or is this an issue on your end?

  • HelderMTavares Hélder M. Tavares (@HelderMTavares) reported

@RogersHelps Sure. I can watch a feed from another country but not the team that plays in my region when they are in the same country? That makes sense. Stop trying to justify your anti-consumer garbage. Your TV packages are more expensive for less and less.

  • Cbab_ Cbab (@Cbab_) reported

In the interest of fairness I will say, I experienced a weird AF thing with my @RogersHelps internet service tonight and "Cooper" responded and set me up for an appt free of charge to take a look at a potential cause on Sunday. I'll provide updates. Thanks to "Cooper" tho.

  • HockeySteve72 HockeySteve72 (@HockeySteve72) reported

@RogersHelps All just don't know how to fix the glitch
