Start.ca Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Jhericho38 Proud Liberal (@Jhericho38) reported

@KeithIsnor @startca Rogers really screwed the pooch. CBC said it was human error that shut down the entire network, and it takes time to reboot an entire infrastructure.

  • D3Edna Edna (@D3Edna) reported

@startca I'd love to phone you but my internet is so slow a voip call keeps getting dropped! London, Ontario 10:22 pm on Sunday July 10, 2022

  • BTP1960 Brian Perry (@BTP1960) reported

Will definitely be cancelling my service with @startca. CNN has been offline for *six* days and replaced with an error message. In no way is this acceptable.

  • Jhericho38 Proud Liberal (@Jhericho38) reported

@sherratt3298 @startca Rogers is covering their butts. According to CBC, it was human error that crashed the whole network during routine maintenance.

  • Chef_Lane Chef L'âne (@Chef_Lane) reported

@startca I know you were not responsible for my Internet outage this week as your cable Internet runs in @Rogers infrastructure. Do you have Fiber in the Westmont are is London that doesn't use cables owned by Rogers?

  • Jhericho38 Proud Liberal (@Jhericho38) reported

@unownedspaces @startca They already said on their feed here they will. They're just waiting to see what the scope and duration of the outage is. Can't no the duration until everyone's back to normal, though.

  • stillkvl kvl (@stillkvl) reported

@vasta @startca I’m not sure if it will help you, but our internet was still all wonky this morning. I changed our router’s DNS settings to use Google’s instead of Rogers/Start’s and after an hour everything was better.

  • Jhericho38 Proud Liberal (@Jhericho38) reported

@DinisPhillip @KeithIsnor @startca Been up in London since 22h after the outage started. Home Phone came on last night; still waiting for TV. Rogers is the only one who has any control over how long this is going to take.

    @startca Doesnt work for me

  • jmccall54 Jeremy McCall (@jmccall54) reported

@blaineschalk Here’s the issue with start - I currently pay 80/month for 500mb internet. I can pay start 95/month for 300mb internet or 100/month for 1GB internet. That’s it. That’s the list. I love @startca but moving to them doesn’t make fiscal sense sadly.
