  $TU - TELUS CUT ITS DIVIDEND 55% AND RAISED CAPEX. THE FREE CASH FLOW GUIDE FELL A QUARTER. Every rung of the 2026 guide moved at once. Free cash flow to about $1.8 billion from about $2.45 billion; capital expenditures UP to about $2.6 billion from about $2.3 billion; consolidated service revenue growth to flat-to−2% from 2% to 4%; adjusted EBITDA growth to −2% to −4% from 2% to 4%. The quarterly dividend was reset 55% to $0.1875 a share, an annualized $0.75, which TELUS says frees roughly $2.7 billion of cash through 2028 for debt reduction. The payout policy moved to 45–60% of trailing free cash flow from 60–75%, and the discount on the dividend reinvestment plan is gone from October 1 — the company says that reduces shareholder dilution. The leverage target itself never moved. The deadline did: about 3.0 times net debt to adjusted EBITDA by year-end 2028 rather than 2027, from 3.5 times at quarter-end, citing "competitive pricing pressure and reduced subscriber demand amid lower population growth." Mobile phone net additions were 17,000. A carrier that grew by connecting a growing country is repricing for one that isn't. The dividend is what pays for the extra year. Shares fell about 12%.

  @PrairieVeteran City of Calgary has 5 Level mgmt that can get down to 4 then 3 in 2 years. Redundancy positions. Buy off older Gen with 2 yrs severance pay. TELUS cut off 1400 employees by counting on the NEXT GEN. Stop adding personnel. ADMIN changes. Leadership? Positions stay the same. @DanWMcLean

  TELUS Corp $TU has reset its quarterly dividend to support deleveraging and fuel long-term growth, with a quarterly dividend of $0.1875 per common share, representing a reset of 55 per cent. TELUS’ net debt to Adjusted EBITDA of 3.5-times at quarter-end is targeting approximately 3.0-times or lower by year-end 2028, supported by organic free cash flow growth, the dividend reset, disciplined capital expenditures, and proceeds from asset monetization processes currently underway. Full-year consolidated service revenue guidance has been revised to a range of flat to negative 2 per cent; consolidated Adjusted EBITDA is now expected to be in a range of negative 2 to negative 4 per cent; and full-year free cash flow is anticipated to be approximately $1.8 billion.

  @TELUSsupport between July 28 and today Aug 5 l have spoke to at least 8-9 Telus agents to resolve a problem . I've had agents diarize to call me back as follow up ... nothing. Any other business working like this would be bankrupt. Telus is the worst provider choice !!!

  "Mobile Network Cores within Canada". Additional comments regarding Canadian based Gateways and National Oversight, screams a SatCo type of architecture. Could Rogers join Telus and Bell to create a similar JV as the US?

  @VanIsleInvestor @gulbraa24 @TELUS It's so bad. This is layer 1 of the onion. Share price needs to go below 9 for the directors of the company to realize the management is filled with people who pretend to know what they're doing. There is potential, but there would need to be an office space culling.

  Is anyone else tired of the big 2 mobile and home ‘phone internet providers’? Here we have Telus and Bell, Rogers doesn’t have good mobile coverage. No decent customer service. They have sent it out of the country so they can pay people extremely low wages compared to Canada. Always trying to gouge the customer. It is past time the government allows more competition. Of course this will never happen, I’m would guess it would be due to excellent corporate lobbyists. I am so tired of have a captured government and bureaucracy.

  Defund Rogers! Rogers cancelled the only sports radio station in Vancouver. Why do they get to keep their name on the arena? Defund Rogers. If they don’t want to support Canuck fans with news, move along. Hello Telus?
