  • jbkvcasr_bj JB (@jbkvcasr_bj) reported

@TheBeaverton Uneventful day! Hardly noticed cell phone wasn’t working. What does that tell you. Two things. Life can go on without Rogers, Telus, Fido, Bell,… and amount they charge you for their unreliable service is insane.

  • netter48 Jeanette (@netter48) reported

@biggles14 @ScottDavid2020 Telus only rents their towers from Bell. Will never have full reception Bell has. Have Telus at work 15+ yrs & its turned to garbage in last 4. Dropped calls, can't send text, ppl say they call & it didn't come through etc. Doesn't matter if in town, city, country, just awful

  • copleac Peacenik ☮️ (@copleac) reported

@HughSmith1209 @taimhuynh Our landline is with Rogers, so no phone service for over 24 hours now. I have cell service with Koodoo, which is Telus, and the phone service is down but data is good, so now I'm using my iPhone as a hotspot to get on the internet.

  • redmcgraw1 jack mcgraw (@redmcgraw1) reported

@FP_Champagne Is there a policy and technical way to ensure that canadians could switch to another provider (say videotron, bell, telus or shaw) if a provider (say rogers) goes down on an emergency basis, at the expense of of the downed provider (example rogers)?

  • funlover1999 🇨🇦 FunLover (@funlover1999) reported

@RogersHelps What a big lie, I am in heart of Toronto n my internet is still not working. Thanks to my Telus mobile connection Im tweeting this… when is ETA for WiFi fix????

  • MarleneJF4 MarleneJF (@MarleneJF4) reported from Kelowna, British Columbia

@cczwolf Telus didn't go down we had TV, internet, land line & 2 cell phones up and running all day. This is BC!

  • isi4drecordx Isy baybee (@isi4drecordx) reported

@charityslim @TundeTASH Most of the Telecommunications sector is run by Rogers and Bell. You have few others like Shaw and Telus. Yesterday Rogers had nationwide shutdown and this affected mobile data and WiFi. Plenty organisations didn't have Internet. Bank transfers were not working

  • Lady_Noremon Captain | Keep On Keeping On | Exhausted (@Lady_Noremon) reported

For those that don't know; Canada had one of the top 3 telephone/cellular/Internet services go down yesterday. It's what's tied to Interac (debit card banking system) and many other major things. I luckily have TELUS & Bell-Aliant for cellular/Internet so mine wasn't down.
