Odd that when Telus and Bell had a multi Atlantic province outage taking out emergency services communication, including 911, debit etc, and the next year, Rogers the same, there wasn't such a fuss.

@kathi_leafs No that extra $60 on the bill is for financing the phone through your cell provider. Rogers, Bell, Telus etc. calls and texts are standard with all our plans now but what really gets you is the Data usage. Also, if you go over your data, they slow down your speed to 3G levels

  • AlbertNash ..... (@AlbertNash) reported

Call for Big 3 to improve the wireless network infrastructure in Canada. If Telus, Bell and Rogers try and hike monthly phone costs to improve the network it should be denied. If they can’t afford to pay for something they should have been maintaining already … #rogersoutage

Hey @TELUS based on how hard I’m working to keep me as a Telus customer (aka doing your customer service and Loyalty teams job), I should be getting a commission 🤔 Customers shouldn’t have to fight for YOU to keep their business

  • Kabirsagoo_ Kabir Sagoo (@Kabirsagoo_) reported

I wonder if @TELUS will help me leave rogers

  • MasterYodaMB Master Yoda 🇰🇬 (@MasterYodaMB) reported

@TorontoStar They should open up the market. There is no competition. Service and quality is awful and technologies falling behind the rest of civilized world. Rogers, Telus they are rapping their customers! It so expensive for ****** quality.

@TELUSsupport really bad signal on mobile and house internet can't get above 10mbps if anything at all . Is telus the next to crash or what ?

  • peepstein Ed (@peepstein) reported

If providers like TELUS, bell, Shaw, and Rogers integrate their networks too deeply, then a single failure in one network can cascade. It’s wiser to have critical services like banking and ECOMM on multi-homed networks.

  • cdnbeer Cody Lobreau - BeerCrank.ca (@cdnbeer) reported from Brandon, Manitoba

@RogersHelps I've been with Rogers for 17 yrs and I'll be switching to Bell or Telus once my contract is up. TWO outages in just over a year?! That's not reliable at all, also if 5G is supposed to be the "next great thing", the latency is always over 100ms, that's bad service in modern times

  • davin2424 D.G. (@davin2424) reported

@TELUS been a cell phone user of Telus since 1996. The once reliable Telus network has become pure trash. The amount of dropped calls (with multiple phones) and call clarity when in use is complete garbage. Cellular reception within areas of the city of Red Deer is laughable.

@OPR58302260 @CBCNews Cell line. Land lines, afaik, were not impacted in western Canada. Service standards generally quote % of uptime, with lots of weasel words to protect them, ie, pretty much useless. No idea what Rogers says, i know the only difference between home & bus @ Telus is response time.
