Odd that when Telus and Bell had a multi Atlantic province outage taking out emergency services communication, including 911, debit etc, and the next year, Rogers the same, there wasn't such a fuss.

@Averyflash @RadioNLNews @TELUS This is the Governments fault for not having a proper online system in place and also for not having contracting or having the foresight to have adequate staff to handle the calls. Also the 1.6 million callers who were ineligible didn't help the cause.

@jjhorgan @TELUS "Call centre"? What is this, the 20th century? No wonder the system broke down. Surely a web-based booking system would much better? (Of course TELUS is a telephone company so maybe that explains their thinking...)

@RobShaw_BC @jjhorgan If they contracted for only a specific # of agents, therein lies the issue with the bottleneck. Not that you can have 50k agents, but if the Gov didn't have the foresight to up the services from Telus, then thats on them. Another case of didn't wanna pay. Bad planning as usual

How is it the Province's fault that a million people couldn't follow simple instructions and wait to call for a vaccination until it was their turn? Not having a callback queue was definitely a big mistake which I hope Telus will fix. #blamegame #CommonSense

@Celestem1 @jjhorgan @TELUS It's what's coming next month for the majority of vaccination bookings, other than seniors. For some stupid reason, it couldn't have been ready for this week.
