@CP24 What is the root cause? If Rogers, Bell, Telus are down at same time in one day, what would be happened in this country?

  • 5minutesformom 5minutesformom (@5minutesformom) reported

@richardzussman Fortunately my kids’ phones are on their Dad’s Telus account, so I’ve been able to borrow their phones to make any important calls since Rogers went down yesterday morning. Even now my Rogers phone is still not working. #rogersoutage

  • FuzzyWuzzyTO FuzzyWuzzy💤 (@FuzzyWuzzyTO) reported

What if Rogers, or Bell, or Telus were to go down for...a week? A month? No cash. No medication. No help. No one to complain to. It's time to address this. #rogersouttage

  • BernieTestani Bernadette Testani (@BernieTestani) reported

@CheriDiNovo @TELUS I think there's a place for public-private partnerships. The status quo in healthcare ain't working regardless of ideoolgy. Throwing more $$ into a broken system never works Cheri. You know that.

  • GrandmaGotSpunk GrubbyGrouper (@GrandmaGotSpunk) reported

@thevivafrei actually, it does to some extent. Being Rogers owns the companies that control the servers that operate the interac terminals, atm's etc; it would benefit having more competition. IE: say you have Telus TV (& its run by Rogers) if Rogers is down, so is Telus (hypothetically)

  • livewire3791 🇨🇦Canadian Eh!🇨🇦 (@livewire3791) reported

@Trudeaus_Ego End the monopoly that Bell, Rogers and Telus have. We pay way too much for **** service.

  • kurtseifried Kurt Seifried (He/Him) (@kurtseifried) reported

@TheJenRollins Telus went to a converged IP network ages ago (they were one of the first telcos to do it actually) over a decade ago. If they crash their BGP there’d be a similar outage to rogers even for “landlines” which haven’t been POTS anywhere in ages. TLDR it’s all internet protocol now.

  • afathersbastard myfathersbastard (@afathersbastard) reported

@RogersHelps @Rogers This was 9 hours ago and I STILL have NOTHING. My phone says I have signal, but I have no phone, text, messaging or internet. Nothing. 2 DAYS with no phone service if I’m not at home on my TELUS wifi. W T F

  • afrodykee 💎 TS ***** Genesis Evangelion 🦯 💎 (@afrodykee) reported

@hali4045 The gag is I wasn’t even affected by the outage since I don’t use rogers but considering Telus is part of Canada’s telecom oligopoly problem since they’re one of the main 3 and host other networks with rogers and bell being the bigger 2, it’s predatory as hell.
