  @TELUS for the first time in 10 years I can genuinely say your customer service sucks. Your web store sucks at shipping anything on time, they caused the problem.. but the answer.. just cancel your service.. Okay, I most certainly will.

  @67Dodge I believe Telus has a $500M stock buyback program. Damn I hate stock buybacks - is steals from investors and the govt is robbed of taxes, just to artificially prop up share prices which should actually be buoyed by productivity and profits.

  @OilersMcDrai We have a weird situation where we only get Telus in one room with the good TV so I like the novelty of watching hockey in the kitchen while I cook/clean but that's a crap TV lol so its subpar but that's a me thing. It's great when I watch in the basement.

  @VanIsleInvestor @TELUS I signed up a few months ago, no issues, reasonable price. My wife is trying to sign up now. Couple days in and still having issues and the rates are up with less data. New boss man making changes.

  $TU — Dividend investors in TU just got peeled. TELUS announced a brutal 55% dividend cut to $0.1875/quarter, coinciding with a $2.1 billion non-cash impairment at TELUS Digital. This drove a $1.8 billion net loss for Q2. This wasn't a minor tweak; it's a clear signal of deeper operational challenges, especially within their digital segment, following a Q1 dividend growth pause and a 52% net income drop in May. The drastic dividend reset aims to deleverage the balance sheet, targeting 3.0x net debt/EBITDA by end-2028 from 3.5x currently. This move is expected to save $2.7 billion cumulatively through 2028, with the DRIP discount ending October 1st to further reduce dilution. Full-year guidance was slashed across the board: service revenue now flat to -2%, Adjusted EBITDA -2% to -4%, and free cash flow around $1.8 billion. These aren’t traditional evaporative data centres. Telus/Westbank designs use closed-loop liquid cooling—a sealed system that recirculates the same fluid, like a car radiator. Result: dramatically lower water use (company target: up to 90% less than conventional air-cooled facilities) and near-zero ongoing evaporation for the primary loop. At 150 W Georgia, the heat isn’t vented to the street. It’s transferred into Creative Energy’s district steam plant to help heat 200+ downtown buildings and cut natural-gas demand. That’s the opposite of “warming the city.” Protests highlight real questions about scale, power, and process. Those deserve scrutiny.   I just walked into a Telus shop looking for a prepaid SIM card for my stay in Quebec. 35$ for 50 Gig... Good deal I thought... + 20 for the SIM card...mmm ok. + 35 if they put in for me (in case there are configuration problems) We're up to 90$. WTF Corporate greed I say. Bye 👋

  Halton Police Charge Man in Alleged Rogers, Bell and Telus 'Fake Agent' Scam A 42-year-old man is facing multiple charges after Halton Regional Police say they uncovered a "fake agent" fraud scheme involving stolen electronic devices valued at more than $36,000. According to the Halton Regional Police Service, the investigation began earlier this month after officers were alerted to several suspicious packages being shipped to a post office box in Milton. Police say the scam involved fraudsters posing as representatives of major telecommunications companies, including Rogers, Bell and Telus. Victims were allegedly convinced to order new smartphones or other electronic devices through their existing wireless accounts after being falsely told the products would be provided free of charge. Once the devices were delivered, investigators allege the victims were contacted again and told there had been an error with the order. They were then instructed to return the devices to a post office box controlled by the suspects. Police say the electronics were ultimately shipped overseas and sold for profit. Members of the Halton Regional Police Financial Crimes Unit conducted surveillance on the post office box and arrested a suspect on July 9 while he was allegedly collecting the fraudulent packages. Adnan Asghar,42, of Milton has been charged with: -Fraud Over $5,000 -Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 -Laundering Proceeds of Crime Investigators allege Asghar was found in possession of 22 electronic devices, including iPhones, iPads and Samsung Galaxy smartphones, with a combined value exceeding $36,000.
