Kelly (@AlbertanKelly) reportedIronically, I am lucky my Telus phone plan has a lot of data so I can mobile hot spot for a few days withough insane charges. I had one major issue with Shaw in 15 years, since they were bought by Rogers, several.

Joe Caverly (@JoeC4281) reportedPreviewing second-quarter earnings season for Canadian telecommunications companies, Scotia Capital’s Maher Yaghi made these target changes: BCE Inc. (BCE-T +2.86% increase, “sector outperform”) to $39 from $41, Quebecor Inc. (QBR-B-T +1.08% increase, “sector perform”) to $63.50 from $58, Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI-B-T +2.88% increase, “sector outperform”) to $61 from $60.50 Telus Corp. (T-T +3.44% increase, “sector perform”) to $19 from $20. The averages on the Street are $40.24, $66.12, $59.73 and $19.95, respectively. “We expect Q2 results to show early signs that Canadian fundamentals are stabilizing around wireless pricing,” Mr. Yaghi said. “However, we do not think the evidence is strong yet to support a broad-based sector re-rating given soft subscriber growth." "In that context, Rogers screens well given improving FCF, lower capex, and MLSE optionality, while BCE shares are supported by attractive valuations, with upside from Ziply and AI." "By contrast, Cogeco remains weighed down by U.S. broadband pressure, TELUS still needs a credible new action plan to address dividend sustainability, and Quebecor continues to execute well, but its valuation leaves little room for error." "Overall, we remain neutral on the group, as improving industry discipline is encouraging but not yet enough to resolve company-specific debates around leverage, capital allocation, and whether valuations adequately reflect the longer-term risk of non-traditional broadband competition." "We made a few target adjustments lowering multiples on T given growth path, lifted valuations on MLSE for RCI and medium term growth in DCF for QBR.." Source: Globe & Mail

Sorry Eh 🇨🇦 🐜 (@cdnsorryeh) reported@canmericanized @Rogers @CRTCeng try Bell, then Telus etc. They are relentless. If anyone ever calls claiming to be a company (utilities, bank etc), never call back the number they give you. Look at your bill or card & call that number. 2/2

Jim Rempel (@jim_rempel) reportedQuite possibly true, I was raised with discipline, and many today are not. What I got as a kid, people today would call abuse, it wasn't. I started a business selling Internet access in 1995 and had 13 employees, this in North Central BC. We were an ISP until Telus monopolized the industry with the backing of the Federal and Provincial governments and bankrupted every small ISP in two provinces to the cheers of some of my customers. Ignorance is bliss, and yes, I'm still pissed off about it. Anyway, I had a few younger people work for me, some were good, many were not. It is a challenge to find good ones, but I can't help but look at places like Indeed and other online job markets and see how flawed they are. The hiring process is **** now, in the old days you hired your neighbors kid or someone you knew and trusted from Church made a recommendation. Grabbing a resume full of lies and flowery language is useless. Yeah, some kids are trouble but not all, but the way we find them has changed dramatically. In addition, when I got that job at 15, if I didn't pull my weight every minute of my shift, I was gone, instantly. Best advice I ever got was "fire fast and hire slow".
