Residents in the affected areas will not be able to access TELUS services including landlines, cellular devices, internet etc. AHS has advised that 911 will still function as emergency processes are in place.

@TELUS @TELUSsupport If you call the number (647) 249-4641 (I think it is on Telus Network) they answer it as “Service Canada”. Obviously the number is being answered by scam artists. Hope you shut it down before some innocent person falls prey.

@martini68427538 @AB_EmergAlert I read what happened. Just that the AB Emergency page for the outage has a Telus link to which it connects to a page without any info on the outage. Basically a 404 page. Which is not helpful and should be removed.

@TELUSsupport have put in complaint directly via website so no point in duplicating effort. Surely I can't be the only one complaining about several calls re: 'replacing the copper wire' - it sure sounds like a scam - or an attempt to pressure customers to sign up for unwanted telus purefibre

@LisaSingerUBC @TELUSsupport @TELUS That's brutal. I can't imagine no phone with a baby in the house. The installation caused my neighbours landline to fail as well for a while and they missed several important calls relating to health care.
