@saschasegan was reading the Speedtest for Canada and trying to understand the Telus/Bell result. Is it that their 5G works by using 5G and LTE at the same time, hence “5G is just another band on top of LTE”? In short, are they doing MIMO with multiple LTE signals & 1 5G signal?

@evefavretto @saschasegan @TELUS I mean fair enough I guess. SIM swap scams are getting to be a massive problem… and given how attached folks are to their phone number it would be really rough to have to get a new one.

Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it and think they deserve the coverage. I just think you have to get the sponsors to buy in that it’s worth it and for us to support it🚨🏆🇨🇦

@Teach_Laidlaw 👍🏼 so frustrating. I've had those spoofed numbers call me and mine has been used. Seems to be much better now. Not sure what Telus has done, but it seems to be working. As an added bonus, I haven't really had any serious outages either and often have a better signal.

@CRTCeng CRTC ****** Canadians as usual. BUT what do you except, with a former Telus CEO ******* running it? CRTC needs to be abolished as it is now. It no longer protects consumers, but protects the Big 3. Millionaire CEO (and buddy to Bell/Rogers/Telus) doesn't care about rates.

@StarlinkPage I’m on the waitlist and I’m hoping to be fast tracked, our local work from home rules during the pandemic have resulted in unusable internet for the last year. My current speeds top out at 3mbps down and 0.5mbps up. Telus is the only option and they don’t care.

It was 100% @TELUS fault my accounts were stolen. But after I contacted the exchanges and talked to customer support I figured my funds would be safe however that was not the case. Since the hack it seems like all parties involved are running away.

I was on my phone at the time my phone lost service. I seen my crypto exchange passwords changing before my eyes. I immediately contacted Telus and all my crypto exchanges. I informed them of what was happening.
