@WinnipegNews Highly questionable as Xplornet has been a terrible service provider for many in the Lake Winnipeg area.

  • billgatescooka brandon (@billgatescooka) reported

@jbondguy007 @Xplornet I’ve been an Xplornet customer for multiple years and I get 50 down. At times and then no Internet at all and other times I’m on the 25 down Xplornet’s network has been oversold for years there’s still the same **** company they’re only fixing it do to STARLINK and other options

  • deaf_mute_ A Deaf Mute (@deaf_mute_) reported

@Xplornet Internet has gone from not really usable to just completely down today. Is there an outage near Onoway or something? I've DM'ed you with specific location details.

  • cpwcsk Chad Peters (@cpwcsk) reported

@EdWhiteMarkets Xplornet satellite service is the most expensive service out there. They typically over sell and under deliver. You will never get the speeds they advertise.

  • TracyRimmer TracyRimmer (@TracyRimmer) reported

@MBGovNews Xplornet can’t provide service to the subscribers they’ve already got, how are they going to manage this? Note to @MBGov — the lowest bid isn’t always the best bid.

  • ChrisDca ChrisD.ca (@ChrisDca) reported

@Woofers_MB I asked. No cost incurred to Xplornet, but they will reimburse MB Hydro if the Crown corporation incurs cost to operationalize the network to them.

  • rsternat1 Can Am Rider (@rsternat1) reported

@bkives Just canceled my Xplornet, replaced with StarLink, 800 times better and it’s kind of cool that I’m supporting a future mission to Mars. Cost was only slightly higher, but the results are well worth it ! I think the Premier is again investing in a poor solution. He should compare.

  • BenKlass Ben Klass (@BenKlass) reported

@benlucier @EvanGetson MB Gov is about to finalize an RFP in which they basically hand a provincial crown-owned fibre network to Xplornet. Local ISPs are not pleased

  • brittrlynn Britt Lynn (@brittrlynn) reported

@bkives What if we are currently underserved by Xplornet? All comes down to competition: if there is none, rural will continue to pay exorbitant amounts for ****** internet.

  • benlucier Ben Lucier (@benlucier) reported

@BenKlass @EvanGetson Don't tell me. If government money was to go anywhere, they should give it to Starlink. Xplornet has already demonstrated its inability to provide a decent service, but even worse-- I've heard horror stories about their abysmal customer service.
