@cogeco No, I haven’t. The tv is out too. Not sure that rebooting the modem will help but I’ll try.

@b4technology @cogeco I'm sure my network is back up but my network name and password have been reset. Need to find a way to reset my wireless networks

  • JenFraser55 Jennifer Fraser (@JenFraser55) reported

@jdeq Sadly it’s not just cogeco. Rural internet has been awful - it’s not able to handle the capacity required to have synchronous learning. Then factor in having 2 young kids who need computer assistance to even work the computer and then it cuts out - it’s been a nightmare here.

  • jessethouin jessethouin (@jessethouin) reported

@JetDayz7 @northtron54 @cogeco Yep, the outage has surpassed the DNS fix from this morning. They now have a bigger problem, which could stem from the power outage in Oakville today.

  • killerbanker Rick Ali (@killerbanker) reported

@cogeco Service seems to have been restored a couple of hours ago, thanks Cogeco. Having previously been with Bell for a number of years I can easily say Cogeco’s internet service levels far surpass Bell’s. Outages are resolved much faster and are much less frequent. Glad I switched!

  • Middleaged75 Just another Human!!! (@Middleaged75) reported

@aschwabdotca @cogecohelps @cogeco We have switched our DNS settings from automatic to using manual. Googles dns server is 8.8.8.8. And 8.8.4.4. You can google it for verification. This will allow access to internet again. Can reset back to automatic once Cogeco fixes issue with their DNS server. Hope this helps.

@CHCHNews Cogeco down in all of Ontario not news worthy it seems.

  • barbie60144 Barb Sh (@barbie60144) reported

@Sflecce Stephen Internet was down all morning, Cogeco had an across province problem, how can children be expected to do on-line when the internet can't handle it. Get your act together.

  • FrankJBooth Frank Booth🇧🇲🌍🇨🇦 (@FrankJBooth) reported

@barbie60144 @cogeco No doubt it is. DNS problem suggests too much traffic

  • ButterBrained Mr. ButterBrain-Elect | Parler: @ButterBrain (@ButterBrained) reported

@SteveA43400606 @cogeco Their support portal should not exist on their service infrastructure for exactly this reason. E.g., When my cloud provider goes down I can still access their technical support because they've separated these concerns.

  • CanEd123 Justice Maker (@CanEd123) reported

@cogecohelps @cogeco Hardly doubt someone would've think this was planned. If so, it would have been the worst time ever. But with the quality of your usual service It wouldn't be a total surprise honestly.
