@cogeco It’s blacked out in my area. I don’t think it’s a fixable issue. It just doesn’t make sense that Shaw can show it in this area and Cogeco can’t.

@theshadowknows3 @cogeco Cogeco says it’s not them that initiates a blackout, it’s the broadcaster, but @TSN_Sports refuses to respond. My guess is that they’ll blame @NHL for it. Regardless, it’s horseshit.

My next door neighbour was just told by @cogeco that they cannot fix her broken wire to her house for 3 months, so no phone, Internet or TV until September. Never heard of waiting this long to fix a single broken wire. Glad I have my Internet with @bell #scarry

  • FKarpala

@cogeco Why bother with EAS warnings when only a black screen is shown? Fix this!!!

  • ryanhiggison
Ryan Higgison (@ryanhiggison) reported from Tecumseh, Ontario

@cogeco I did. Thank you, Michelle. My tv will be out for four days and my internet will be intermittent until then. Hoping there will be compensation for this disruption in my service.

Hey @cogeco How is a channel I pay for (TSN2) blacked out in my area (Windsor,ON), but someone with Shaw can get it without issue in Maidstone, ON. I can drive there in ten minutes. This is ridiculous.

@cogecohelps If you work from home, DO NOT GO WITH COGECO. The service quality and technical support are AWFUL. After days of multiple calls and even a technician visit, no one has been able to fix the issue to provide at least a decent, stable internet connection. STAY AWAY FROM COGECO!

@cogeco #cogeco one hour on hold to Cogeco. My Mother in law reached them mid Feb and they never followed up or call back. So im trying to help her. This isn’t customer service. Should have sold yourself if this is what you would become. Just terrible!

@RetroLabs_com interesting. im getting 2gbit down now from @cogeco - but 140mbit up.... which is sad. I'd stay with them if the upload speed wasn't the same as I was getting in 2001....... I can't remote into my home pc or pull files from my own NAS because it's brutal slow and useless.

@KNugent4118 @Rogers @RogersHelps We have had Rogers for cell service for almost 24 years but left Bell for Cogeco for internet. I wish I could say I’m happy with either one. Make sure they credit you for time and services lost.

@ReclaimTheNetHQ I'm not hearing much opposition from the major internet service providers like Bell, Rogers, Telus, Videotron, Cogeco, Eastlink in regard to bill c-22. So I guess they are all in?

  • JoeC4281
    Joe Caverly (@JoeC4281) reported

Previewing second-quarter earnings season for Canadian telecommunications companies, Scotia Capital’s Maher Yaghi made these target changes: BCE Inc. (BCE-T +2.86% increase, “sector outperform”) to $39 from $41, Quebecor Inc. (QBR-B-T +1.08% increase, “sector perform”) to $63.50 from $58, Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI-B-T +2.88% increase, “sector outperform”) to $61 from $60.50 Telus Corp. (T-T +3.44% increase, “sector perform”) to $19 from $20. The averages on the Street are $40.24, $66.12, $59.73 and $19.95, respectively. “We expect Q2 results to show early signs that Canadian fundamentals are stabilizing around wireless pricing,” Mr. Yaghi said. “However, we do not think the evidence is strong yet to support a broad-based sector re-rating given soft subscriber growth." "In that context, Rogers screens well given improving FCF, lower capex, and MLSE optionality, while BCE shares are supported by attractive valuations, with upside from Ziply and AI." "By contrast, Cogeco remains weighed down by U.S. broadband pressure, TELUS still needs a credible new action plan to address dividend sustainability, and Quebecor continues to execute well, but its valuation leaves little room for error." "Overall, we remain neutral on the group, as improving industry discipline is encouraging but not yet enough to resolve company-specific debates around leverage, capital allocation, and whether valuations adequately reflect the longer-term risk of non-traditional broadband competition." "We made a few target adjustments lowering multiples on T given growth path, lifted valuations on MLSE for RCI and medium term growth in DCF for QBR.." Source: Globe & Mail

@cogeco @cogeco Could you please have your sales folks stop knocking on my door constantly? I got rid of Epico because it is the worst streaming service ever. I hear it is not improved.
