  • SussexGeezer Chris Tye (@SussexGeezer) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

Dear @Rogers please rest assured, there will be no service interruption affecting customers making their monthly payment on time @RogersHelps #rogersoutage #rogersdown

  • PNM_79 Nick (@PNM_79) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@yegventures @Rogers @fluenthome If power is cut your WiFi won't work so there must be a eSIM in your security system that is on the Rogers network. U have WiFi so you'll be good. If both were to go out you'd have a problem but that highly unlikely.

  • CanadianGuy55 Guy Smith 🇨🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 - get vaccinated (@CanadianGuy55) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@Rogers Yes. But do you promise reliable, affordable TV, telephone and Internet service to existing Shaw customers? Because we don’t have any of that right now.

  • vegaskev vegaskev (@vegaskev) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

People always crap on the cellphone companies but yet again, I received great service from @rogers today.

  • HkyEdmOps Chris March (@HkyEdmOps) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

For anyone trying to contact me today, please use email as my phone is currently unresponsive due to @Rogers outage.

  • yegventures Lincoln Ho | Yegventures 🇻🇦🇨🇦🇭🇰 (@yegventures) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@SteveThePylon @dailytechnewssh @TELUSsupport @TELUS @Rogers I also used to use Shaw. Had to reboot my modem if I needed to work for an hour without lag. When I called to cancel, they tried to sell me some sort of speed boost service. Nope. They should've just never slowed it down.

  • FREDdaBunny Patrick Eggleton (@FREDdaBunny) reported from Beaumont, Alberta

@EdmontonOilers @Rogers Damn didn’t win the jersey. And McD got 2

  • yegventures Lincoln Ho | Yegventures 🇻🇦🇨🇦🇭🇰 (@yegventures) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

If traditional TV-service telecom companies (like @telus, @Shawhelp, @Rogers, @Bell) want to keep their current subscriber base from mass increase in @Netflix subscriptions, they'll need to not only allow data overages, but open their VOD to free rentals. #telco #canada #big3

  • HeyItsMaher Maher (@HeyItsMaher) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

I did just receive really good help from @Rogers when I called in about my wireless plan. Much better than my previous experiences so it’s nice to see improvements being made

  • WhiplashHimself Jon G. (@WhiplashHimself) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

Considering @Rogers @RogersHelps has screwed me around long enough, and refused to get with the times to help me out. I’m likely going to change providers after over 10 years of being a customer. Hey @TELUS, how you doin?

  • yegventures Lincoln Ho | Yegventures 🇻🇦🇨🇦🇭🇰 (@yegventures) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@etowntechy @dailytechnewssh @TELUSsupport @TELUS @Rogers And I'm an Optik TV customer too! I've even unplugged one STB, and haven't used the other one (PVR STB) in over a week. I pay nearly $200/mo for sub-par service. In Canada, the internet is an essential service. Imagine getting power or natural gas 60% of the time. @CRTCeng @TELUS

  • Harpo69 David Hopkins (@Harpo69) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@Rogers The massive national outage has to be a HUGE embarrassment to you. It was a bad day without access. This ought not to happen to your operation.

  • FlamesfanWrag Jon Perry (@FlamesfanWrag) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@RogersHelps any update on when service will resume

  • ealary47 Étienne Alary (@ealary47) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

  • FREDdaBunny Patrick Eggleton (@FREDdaBunny) reported from Leduc, Alberta

@Lucys_ma_name @Rogers Ya have to cancel my skip shift today. The problem is in Quebec, sask and Alberta. The whole 5G network is down they can’t get it back up after Thier maintenance. They should compensate the lost income.

  • PNM_79 Nick (@PNM_79) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@Shawhelp since my internet is down and y'all took the night off I'm going to send you the bill for my @RogersHelps data! Cheers!

  • PNM_79 Nick (@PNM_79) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@Prairies @RogersHelps I had same problem until I closed all apps and rebooted my device. Worked after that.

  • Imeegracia Imee Grace (@Imeegracia) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

Hey @RogersHelps why we’re not inform about your nationwide outage. Not nice customer service. Missed lots of very important calls. How long this will last?

  • CanadianGuy55 Guy Smith 🇨🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 - get vaccinated (@CanadianGuy55) reported from Edmonton, Alberta

@Rogers I’d like to believe that, but I can’t. A huge percentage of takeovers and mergers result in the junior partner in the deal shedding staff at some point. Just give me better, more reliable and affordable service than Shaw, and I’ll be quiet, I promise.

Rogers Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • sharkofbayst SharkOfBayStreet (@sharkofbayst) reported

Rogers blamed the outages on coding errors. Any IT professional knows that before you deploy anything. You test it first! and you don't deploy it all at once. @Rogers

  • pitsugin Alex Pitsugin (@pitsugin) reported

@rogers trying to weasel out of paying by pledging to build and invest in ai? Higher people, stop subcontracting everything out. @crtc what kind of solution is that?

  • Elsablaine Elsa Blaine (@Elsablaine) reported

@RogersHelps We actually just swapped our 2 tv boxes and that seemed to have helped with the tv issue for now. 🤔

  • Sebas001509 Sebas1509 (@Sebas001509) reported

    @BelarusLunaria @RogersHelps Again, that’s prepaid. I can’t do prepaid lol I need a crap ton of data cuz I’m a doordash driver

  • msstaceylace 🇨🇦 🌱Ms Stacey Lace🌿 🇨🇦 (@msstaceylace) reported

@RogersHelps Most often it's 80, and 43 that I notice... but there are some channels I never use so who knows

  • _JordanVecchio Jordan Vecchio (@_JordanVecchio) reported

How fitting is it that the day #INDU committee discussed the #rogersoutage With @Rogers executives, doesn't our internet and TV service go out! Like, I can't even. #cdnpoli

  • gacross Glenna Cross (@gacross) reported

@JenJaDi @Rogers You could always switch. After that debacle I sure would. Been a Telus customer for decades and pretty happy.

  • Cyrusxir Cyrusxir Xavorin (@Cyrusxir) reported

@Rogers As I customer I read Staffieri's message and would recommend you heavily evaluate your AI investments, as while I don't know what you have in mind for reliability beyond new codecs; The possibility of an AI blackbox would exacerbate diagnosing future outage issues.

  • ray_love Ray Love (@ray_love) reported

@alexposadzki @globeandmail Funny thing is that is still problematic. My @RogersHelps cellphone is horrible since that outage. Always cutting out. Can't wait for my contact to expire so I can move on to something better and probably cheaper.

  • GablesHarry Harry Gables (@GablesHarry) reported

@BotheredBoy @ottawacity picked up some superstar to fix their trains from @rogers about a week ago.
