Shaw Issues Reports Near Mississauga, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Mississauga and nearby locations:

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • shruti_shekar Shruti Shekar (@shruti_shekar) reported from Brampton, Ontario

Some comments came out of the @ShawInfo Q2 2019 conference call with respect to the @CRTCeng review on the mobile wireless network #cdnpoli #telcom read here 👇🏽

  • MisterJustinT Justin T (@MisterJustinT) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • MattBInYYC Matthew B. (@MattBInYYC) reported

Great time for my @Shawhelp to self implode. My signal was flickering, so I tightened the cords, now my box won’t get power? Ugh.

  • AngryTurtle_Liz Angry Turtle (@AngryTurtle_Liz) reported

@Shawhelp hey shaw how can you put your customers who pay monthly for your internet and rely on it for their source of income out of service for half a week and then only offer them 4$ in compensation? I thought you'd be one to help struggling Canadians who are work from home?

  • impotentrageyyc WatsonDee (@impotentrageyyc) reported

@Crackmacs @ShawInfo This wasn't posted at the time of outage for me in NE. That's annoying

  • _pnoy19 TTVpnoy19 (@_pnoy19) reported

@ShawInfo @Shawhelp @ShawDirect how about y’all give out notices before you make updates on your wifi. Like got damn.

  • AriAvivi R.E. (@AriAvivi) reported

@Shawhelp @DoorMatt95 Having the same problem in Saskatoon

  • SpencerStranks Spencer Stranks (@SpencerStranks) reported

@Crackmacs @ShawInfo Shaw’s customer service is crap when it comes to this kind of stuff. Expected outages like this, customers should be given at least 2 weeks notice and a reminder sent out a few days before.
