Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank @ShawInfo for the generous $1/month savings offer if I choose to lock in a 24 month contract. Please don’t be offended when I turn down this wonderful promotion.

@Shawhelp I’m waiting for yet another call back. Watched the router reboot itself a few times again. Scrolling through everything @TELUS has to offer right now… on my phone because I have no internet service on my computer.

I will never get back the combined 30 mins I helped both my elderly parents via text find the @EdmontonOilers game on @Shawhelp. Mom found it, but Dad, who lives a few blocks away says there’s nothing. Thanks, @Sportsnet! Oilers vs Devils can’t be your Monday night hockey game??

@Shawhelp Sorted now I hope. I’m still irritated that the initial contract wasn’t charged correctly and that I had to call in multiple times to address this issue.

I think @Shawhelp rolled out the Fibre+ Gateway 3.0 before the network was ready for it. It just keeps rebooting itself. Nothing is working. Tech support is in the “let’s try this” mode now.

4/x September 21st, almost a month later, the questionable staff of @shawhelp confirmed with me that my balance was no longer owing and that they’ve notified Pro Collections to take me off of their Collections list (which I should have never been put on in the first place).
