  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

@Shawhelp hello, my home internet connection has been down all night and it’s 430 AM and it’s still down, can you please assist? #InternetDown

  • G0P15T0N5 Eric Chaboyer (@G0P15T0N5) reported

@ShawInfo if my roommate has a extra Pod laying around can I plug it in my room and it will help? Or does it have to be set up? I plugged it in, and it's lit up with a white light. Plz let me know thx!

  • ztravica Creativescans (@ztravica) reported

@PeterVogel @Shawhelp I’m considering dropping ShawTV because of their rates (keep rising) and service (poor signal lack of selection).

  • BloodyKleio Kathleen Wong (@BloodyKleio) reported

@Shawhelp Has the @ShawFireLog begun in Edmonton on non-Shaw direct service yet? Not on channel 222 HD or any other HD channel from 200 to 300?

  • chriseditpost Chris Zayachkowski (@chriseditpost) reported

@Shawhelp My internet is not working. I’m very frustrated!

  • chriseditpost Chris Zayachkowski (@chriseditpost) reported

@Shawhelp Oh I need assistance. There is just no one able to help me.

  • davemccr Dave McCristall (@davemccr) reported

@PeterVogel @Shawhelp In 2000 I was paying about $25 a month for unlimited 3G data in Japan. And $10 a month for a fibre connection to my apartment that hit about 60 MBPs. When I travel in Europe I usually get a month of unlimited data and talk for about $30. The problem here is competition.

  • davemccr Dave McCristall (@davemccr) reported

@PeterVogel @Shawhelp I pay basically the same as you. The rate you are paying is the long time customer rate. I wish other companies were as good as Shaw and kept jobs in Canada. If new customers won’t sign up at that rate there are other places they can turn. CDN rates too high across the board.

  • PeterVogel Peter Vogel (@PeterVogel) reported

Just to be clear, Shaw Communications has effectively raised Internet and TV rates by around 50% since this time a year ago. I presently pay $121 (taxes in) for 600 Mbps service plus BlueCurve Total TV. That same service today costs $185, an increase of 53%! @shawhelp #Vancouver

@ShawInfo I bought a new build home that has older homes on both sides serviced by Shaw. How is it that houses on BOTH sides of my house can get shaw internet but you REFUSE to run the line to my house? Your agents seem completely baffled by this. Has it never happened?
