Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario
@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario
Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.
-
Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario
@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

Justin T (@MisterJustinT) reported from Toronto, Ontario
@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.
-
Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario
@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

@Shawhelp is there an outage on the south side of Edmonton? My wifi isn’t connecting and I tried the power cycle method. I have deadlines for work!!
-
Holmes (@rholmes__) reported
@Shawhelp How about updating the outage page. An hour has passed and all it reads is “problem detected”. Every time I’ve seen an outage page it shows no info and then all of sudden it reads problem solved. What a terrible system to keep customers updated with this many working from home
-
Gordon Jewsbury VE7JBY (@gordtgr) reported from Prince George, British Columbia
@Shawhelp The system did its own self reboot and came back on so at the moment it is working again. So it was down for a couple hours.
-
Kayle Clark (@kaclk) reported
Just in case we’re counting, @Shawhelp outage is now at 2 hours with 0 updates. Completely unacceptable.
-
Douglas W. Judson (@dwjudson) reported
There’s been a community-wide @ShawInfo internet outage in @fort_frances today, meaning professional productivity has ground to a halt citywide.
-
Kayle Clark (@kaclk) reported
Especially in the age of covid, internet is a required utility. That @Shawhelp hasn’t given any information or any ETA on a fix 2 hours after a problem (and it’s actually 2.5 hours since my internet went out) is very troubling. It’s definitely bad customer service.
-
FreeBird Safety (@FreeBirdSafety) reported
@ShawInfo @ShawClassic Questioning your numbers as the CCTS reports #Shawcommunications is the worst company for violations and screwing over customers
-
Holmes (@rholmes__) reported
@bacon_darth @Shawhelp Mine too, right by superstore off 17th. They’ve yet to update it to an outage
