Shaw Issues Reports Near Oakville, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Oakville and nearby locations:

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

@Shawhelp It seems like service was restored

  • mibergeron Matthew Bergeron (@mibergeron) reported

@Shawhelp It's constant and persistent. I reset my router all the time, move it to different locations in my house. The service is just awful.

  • sksuh4 SK Suh (@sksuh4) reported

@reslus @koodo @ShawInfo Koodo doesn’t offer me deals which make sense either so I negotiated one which works for me plus it’s impossible for me to use much data despite not working from home

  • TwiggJohn John Twigg (@TwiggJohn) reported

@Shawhelp How can I avoid endless waits when I phone in to the help line?

  • Blueseros Mike Sullivan (@Blueseros) reported

@BACullenyyc @Shawhelp What was the problem?

  • katieisaluvdisc all purpose white flour (@katieisaluvdisc) reported

Our new router from @Shawhelp is by far the worst router ever. It’s supposed to be increase the internet speed but it literally drops internet anytime more than one device is online. Also in order to get the instructions to install you need the internet? How does that make sense?

  • timtaay A messy hair boi (@timtaay) reported

@Shawhelp hi I'm currently having trouble with my internet, and I was hoping to receive some help

  • vanlinks Kenny K (@vanlinks) reported

@Shawhelp internet is down in Richmond by kwantlen and alder bridge

  • shantanugupta Shantanu Gupta (@shantanugupta) reported

Definitely need to port out of @ShawInfo @Shawhelp mobile. 99% of their network is on Nationwide system. For which they just provide 2GB bandwidth. Rest 25GB I have goes to waste. Pathetic. Ugh.
