@SteveThePylon @SamInYEG It depends! Ive had good experiences with telus. For example i just upgraded my internet from 150mbps to 1gbps and it actually dropped my cable/internet bill by $50 per month. They were doing the internet for $85 and they gave it to me for $65 as a long time customer lol.

@JohnZmhr @plbg_s @Bell @TELUS They can also make VODs free. It's not like people aren't paying for service. I pay nearly $200 for landline, internet, and TV (basic + Cantonese). It's probably why so many are switching to Netflix.

$1000 @TELUS bill this month. 5X the previous month’s bill. All “airtime overage” charges. No warning, no courtesy call. Thanks for the “support”. Taking suggestions for a new service provider.

@SteveThePylon @dailytechnewssh @TELUSsupport @TELUS @Rogers I also used to use Shaw. Had to reboot my modem if I needed to work for an hour without lag. When I called to cancel, they tried to sell me some sort of speed boost service. Nope. They should've just never slowed it down.

@TELUS @TELUSsupport @teluslabtest I just spent 2 hours troubleshooting with a rep in regards to not receiving incoming calls on my cell phone for 2 weeks from Mar 30 to April 10 as per bill. They would NOT help me with compensation after problem fixed and regained service.

@TELUSsupport I used to work in Assure. I've done everything on the last 24hrs client-side to fix the connection and eliminated all other conflicting devices. This is a TELUS-end issue. At the rate I'm going, my upload may be finished before my workday ends. I'm not risking it again for t/s.

I pay nearly $200/mo for sub-par service. In Canada, the internet is an essential service. Imagine getting power or natural gas 60% of the time. @CRTCeng @TELUS

Telus fixed our PVR not recording issue by replacing our digital box, but now our box randomly freezes and reboots and it super hot to the touch 😡🤬😩🧐

@steeletalk @TELUS Same thing happened to me with Freedom mobile. They got scammed for 3 grand worth of products. Took me 3 months to fix. Police report, numerous phone calls to Freedom and the credit bureau. No calls from Freedom or anything in the mail.

@steeletalk @TELUS I had a similar incident with BMO ( I didn’t have a BMO account) and someone in Montreal who got a M/C in my name. Found out when a collection agency called me. It all got sorted out thankfully.

I got Shaw as a backup when I had a 16 hr outage with Telus and had to wait 2 hrs on hold before giving up and bothering friends that work there. Telus service is way better than Shaw. Hands down better network. Coaxial can't compete with fibre.

The Telus Final Reply to the #CRTC case where they blocked phone calls to grandmothers dying of cancer is in. Telus wants the CRTC to think of, & portray Telus as the poor victim. Not that grandmother who died. Not any other people that had calls blocked. Only poor Telus matters

@SharaVigeant @TELUS the answer to your question is because they are protected by the government, and therefore NO competition. A perfect description of an oligopoly and therefore don't have to. Let Verizon, T-Mobile, etc come play in Canada and prices for data and service plummets across the board
