@austynpaul_ @TELUS I was going to switch to Telus from Shaw for their 4K sports, but after a friend’s been waiting 3 months for their “Free 4K TV”, I changed my mind. At least with Shaw I can send a DM and they help me online pretty quickly. All the call centres are a joke now.

I have some good news and some not so good news. The good news is, I'm eligible for TELUS' plan for seniors. The bad news is, I'm still with TELUS.

@TELUS has a great scam. Move to another province and they nail you a penalty of 10 bucks for each month left on your term. They must be hard up for $140 bucks. Customer service clerk was pretty rude when I asked for the penalty to be waived!! Classless move.

I’ve never experienced worst customer service anywhere than what I'm getting @TELUS. It's really hard to believe. My father passed away and needed help with his account. I've done five calls now, transferred multiple times. Hung up on multiple times.. This is just bad. Give up.

@Rogers Suggest getting a handle on the meaning of "customer service". It's been a week & I am UNABLE to reach a human. Anna can't help. +75 minutes wait, any day, any time. Been with you since 2010. Surely you care whether I take my business to-gasp-Telus? Oh wait. You don't.

@Slugbat69 @SawyerMerritt @Starlink Starlink Mobile complements carriers, not replaces them—it's already live via Rogers in Canada for remote coverage. Telus just inked an MOU with AST SpaceMobile for satellite-to-phone service in early 2026 (like Bell). Telecoms are adapting fast for better dead-zone fixes. Not cooked, just evolving!

$ASTS: 🚨🇨🇦 AST SPACEMOBILE APPEARS TO HAVE SIGNED TELUS OF CANADA AS A PARTNER. TELUS BOASTS 10.3M SUBSCRIBERS. AST SpaceMobile has now signed Bell Canada (10.5M subs) and Telus (10.3M subs), which represent 50% of the Canadian mobile wireless market. "It looks like Telus is officially joining the race to eliminate cellular dead zones in Canada. A new global partner map from AST SpaceMobile, shared during Mobile World Congress, suggests that Telus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to bring satellite-to-phone connectivity to its customers. While Telus has not yet made a formal announcement, its inclusion on the updated partner list indicates it is finally aligning with Bell, which has partnered with AST SpaceMobile since last year. Together, the two Canadian carriers appear to be betting on a satellite network that can talk directly to the standard LTE and 5G smartphones Canadians already own."

Through the end of last month, I had tried my luck on multiple sources of income through remote jobs like Outlier, Telus, Handshake and even Micro AI. So far, I’ve used tools like Reddit for research, Twitter, with specific keywords to search for opportunities I can apply for, Subscribed to newsletters and even word of mouth from those that have had a bit of success. A setback I experienced is that most of these platforms don’t hire Nigerians or even have roles open for Africans in general, but one thing you can do is get someone like a relative, or anyone with a relative to apply, onboard, and then you can work these jobs from here and get paid. From what I’ve been able to do so far, Telus AI seems to be the easiest to get, but pays the least. Handshake AI has a lot of opportunities, but doesn’t really have a straight forward application process like Telus. Outlier pays really well and pays weekly but need more than one verification, and needs whoever is verifying to have a PC or at least an iPad I think. Micro ai, seems to not be hiring at the moment, but I’m keeping tabs on them for when they resume hiring. Bonus: Touring AI, because I’m sound in Python, but their onboarding process involves a live interview where you’re asked to do some tasks in Python without the use of AI. So you must be grounded for this. TLDR: For almost all of these opportunities for us Nigerians, you need someone abroad who’s willing to help, or who’s willing to help and get a fee or percentage of your earnings. Secondly, you need a PC to work these jobs, or you can outsource to workers commonly called “Raters”, pay them and split profits with whoever you applied with. Lastly, you need proxies, or RDPs to work on these jobs, due to location constraints. But if you feel like you could get someone to help with the account opening and verification, and will like to get into any or all of these opportunities, you can reply this post or send a dm, and we can open as many as are hiring, onboard them, get seasoned workers for maximum productivity and pay and then split profits at an agreed rate.
