Years ago, before joining the railroad, I was a telephone operator at Telus. For a while, all the non-male operators got this rude guy calling, commenting and cursing them out. I recognized when he called because he’d usually hang up and call back to harass the ladies...

@eppman The Shaw kids are probably positioning to semi-retire while holding seats in the Rogers boardroom as well as ownership of shares. I have been a loyal Shaw customer for decades. A company was was western Canadian. Ok Telus, I divorced you years ago but will come back to you now

@NathanDorval My guess? Because they're still competing with two other major national players in Telus and Bell for national cell service, and they'd still be competing with Telus for regional home services.

@DarrenMorin At least there is still some western Canadian options for us westerners. My experience with most central Canadian companies has been negative. I used Rogers several years ago and punted them due to bad customer service and their dismissive arrogance made me bail. Back to Telus

@CBCStephenQuinn just last week I had another awful call with @TELUS over the the 50% hike in my monthly home services bill. Loyalty discounts just don’t exist in the #telecom sector and they REALLY should.
