When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol

They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?

Most device won't update it if they are already connected to your network! "Clear network settings" or "Forget this network" or "Reset network settings"! If this does not work use Google DNS!
