-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron still charged me upfront $388+ tax with installation fees of $60 even though I chose to pay in $12 for 24 months. When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol
-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@sol_da_ @Videotron The audacity they have. + the representatives I spoke to had such bad attitudes. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor or something.
-
Jaaaaaayyyyy (@zerojay) reported from Montréal, QuebecVideotron internet is down anyways so even if my modem was spared, I'd still be unable to work.

Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, QuebecI switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?
-
martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron Major outtage, support line down, and you suggest to "restart your modem" You bunch of pathetic clowns. Who was the idiot who decided to switch to helix? We were good before that ****. I have to move away from this crap
-
jyseerys (@jayseereyes) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron No, but chat with a customer representative. Even her couldn't provide any solutions instead apologizing for the situation. Well, her apologizing is not what I need because it didn't solve the charges or any kind of that matter.
-
Richard E Flanagan (@phosfiend) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron internet seems to be down for folks in Hudson/St lazare
-
Dan Carnelly (@dancarnelly) reported from Montréal, QuebecSo @Videotron tech support no longer 24/7 but now only from 9am? Wow, it’s just like living back in France. Got to take time out of work to get anything done.
-
Cee (@CeeFor) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron @DjBlaster Interesting. We’ve dealt with Videotron maybe 3 times as potential customers and every time we’ve had agenda flat out refuse to speak English. Even when we get telemarketing calls, when I say I don’t speak French they just say “ok bye” and hang up. Always a bad experience.
-
sbg4evr (@sbg4evr) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron is service down? No Helix, no tv or internet access
-
David MacIntyre (@dave_mac609) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron Three times in the last month you have needed to send a technician to my house to fix my internet and TV, and the same issues keep reoccurring. Internet has been AWOL since last night and TV signal weak. This is absolutely unac-*******-ceptable. Disgraceful. Do better.
-
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron is this the customer experience you want for your clients? So if I don’t have the money to pay $400 that I wasn’t supposed to be charged upfront, then you cut off my service and still leave me with the bill? This is none sense.
-
Katelyn Thomas (@katelynvthomas) reported from Westmount, QuebecI am convinced the person who voices videotron’s automated customer service line is Chandler Bing’s dad.

-
Avanos 🇨🇦⚜️ (@Avanosss) reported@PapiDitzyHarpy @GinoHard_ The language barrier is a pretty weak argument! In Quebec, we’re practically all bilingual and the Montreal Canadiens don’t seem to have any problem! Yes, the market is small, but at least the Videotron Centre would be full for every game!
-
Commissioner Miner (@fanCRTCProfling) reportedW/ wholesale we have CNOC members Distributel, Vmedia, Start, Ebox etc All owned by Bell, Rogers Videotron & Telus. What are they going to do here lock people into mobile-Internet bundles? Bundles to save 10$ off cruddy #CRTC service costs in 2yr contracts? A god send? Dunno..
-
Daniel (@MTLDaniel) reported@Videotron city crews put my neighbor's cable on my property. he told me you're only showing up in two weeks to reconnect the service...does that mean it will be hanging from the post and hanging down onto my front lawn for that long?
-
Grok (@grok) reported@mycenaean2024 Yeah, since Videotron owns Freedom Mobile their 5G/5G+ networks are closely aligned now (recent 3800MHz upgrades push peaks toward 1Gbps in strong spots like AB/ON). Real-world averages often 100-500Mbps depending on location/signal. For their 5G Home Internet (up to 100Mbps down on Nokia Wi-Fi 7 gateway), WiFi usually hits close to max while Ethernet can feel steadier for latency but sometimes caps lower due to gateway limits. What's your actual test results?
-
Francis Taquin (@FrancisTaquin1) reported" With Rogers shutting its 3G network on July 31 too, it’s likely that Freedom Mobile and Videotron’s 3G shutdown is related, since its wireless customers also roam on Rogers. “Starting July 31, 2025, one of our Canadian partners will begin shutting down their 3G network, beginning with the province of Quebec, as well as Ottawa, and it’s surrounding areas,” says Freedom Mobile. Recently, Rogers and Fido have already started cutting off working phones that were using its 3G networks, in what was deemed accidental. Rogers is also charging a $75 network fee if users continue to use 3G networks. "

Scale (@alliareault) reportedMy credit bad they refused to give me router registered to Corporative Internet Account Centurion- landlord facilitators & Vidéotron- telecom providers- only ones authorized by CRTC at my location. TAL ruled against me. I'm waiting for them to adhere to QC Canadian & Global Regs.
-
🇨🇦 Eh Aye (@canadian_eh_aye) reported@6ixbuzztv Never paid them before as I always switch during promos but it is a good step forward More competition would be nice - Videotron doesn't seem to be that eager these days with Freedom either.
-
Jj89 (@Jj8990313510) reported@Videotron I am beyond frustrated. I work from home and the Internet cuts every 5-10 mins it’s been a solid 2 hours I am not able to work. It’s very infuriating when you can’t even work because the wifi keeps going down.
-
Buck (@BuckPanic) reported@aybrowatchyrjet QC never seeing NHL hockey in videotron
