Cogeco Issues Reports Near Etobicoke, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Etobicoke and nearby locations:

  • shayman Steve Hayman (@shayman) reported from Trafalgar, Ontario

@cogecohelps "vs. the few that actually use it" sort of describes 90% of the channels I currently get on my Cogeco package and never watch. Am already paying for both high speed Internet, and TSN; I'm disappointed you can't make this work.

  • SusanMorais Chaya bat Canada (@SusanMorais) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@AbigailEsman Your whole message is off because Canadians can’t choose Cogeco unless we live in their area. You just don’t know anything about our cable service but you tweet giving Canadians advice and then still think you are right. The problem with Americans hubris is far deeper than Fox

  • shayman Steve Hayman (@shayman) reported from Trafalgar, Ontario

Cogeco dropping TSN Go is a minor thing but it bugs me. Researching internet options ... 2 blocks away from my house - in a new development - Bell offers 1.5 Gbps fiber service. Here, Bell only offers 50 Mbps. Grrr.

  • shayman Steve Hayman (@shayman) reported from Trafalgar, Ontario

@cogecohelps Bell, Rogers, Telus, Shaw, and a dozen others are all prepared to provide the @TSN_Sports Go service to their customers; I'm disappointed Cogeco won't.

  • BoldOutlaw Boldoutlaw.com (@BoldOutlaw) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@cogeco @cogeco After leaving my mom without a phone for a week, you missed your appointments again. Oh well I think she’s going back to Bell as she’d like a service that works.

  • shayman Steve Hayman (@shayman) reported from Little Italy, Ontario

@TOBenfica Yeah I loved that service until Cogeco and TSN broke up in January. Frustrating. Cogeco is happy to let you get to the Sportsnet app but not the TSN one.

  • tonyteaching TonyTeacher (@tonyteaching) reported from Bayview Village, Ontario

Horrible experience with @cogecohelps #cogeco Damaged some outlets at my home 2 months ago and yet to fix them. #CustomerService

  • BoldOutlaw Boldoutlaw.com (@BoldOutlaw) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@cogeco Way too late. Thanks for leaving an elderly customer in the lurch. And how dare you charge her for lack of service.

  • jeffpilgrim2 jeff pilgrim (@jeffpilgrim2) reported

@cogecohelps is there an issue with Crave subscription at Cogeco? My Crave is not recognizing my subscription since early April, I have confirmed my monthly charge is still being applied.

  • ThePlankKrab Pete (@ThePlankKrab) reported

    @DenverStruck_ @cogeco Hate when that **** happens

  • rebecca81374432 rebecca (@rebecca81374432) reported

@cogeco are you serious? Maintenance text said 12:00am until 6am and it is 9:29 and my kids cannot get online for school. Unacceptable! Cannot get through to an agent and have been hung up on twice! Now you website says the service will be down until 4pm. Unacceptable!

  • HughCook_ca Hugh Cook (@HughCook_ca) reported

@cogecohelps Is there any connection between Cogeco and Rogers? It's telling, to me, that service from both Rogers and Cogeco were interrupted at the same time, which suggests to me it wasn't a Ontario Hydro problem.

  • antondinev Anton Dinev (@antondinev) reported

Understandably, 🇵🇹 courts refused to follow it. But the ECJ persisted, ignoring the diff. btwn *length* vs *beginning* of time-limitation in *public* vs *private* enforcement respectively, and in Whiteland, C-308/19, it simply copied Cogeco's flawed approach & solution.

  • cutie1967 Linda (@cutie1967) reported

Cogeco came yesterday for a simple job of moving modem. Ended up being here for 2 hours. He broke the modem when he knocked it over and tried to blame my computer. Not happy!! Cogeco service people are good but these 3rd party people are awful.

  • antondinev Anton Dinev (@antondinev) reported

In this case, but also in Cogeco, C-637/17, the key issue was to determine the *starting point* of time-limitation. Unlike Profi Credit SK, however, the Cogeco court failed to give proper consideration to that issue and, ultimately, issued an irrelevant/unhelpful prelim. ruling.

  • jeffpilgrim2 jeff pilgrim (@jeffpilgrim2) reported

@cogecohelps I appreciate the confirmation this has been going on for weeks...I will cancel my subscription which shows $25 on my bill yet on the cogeco website the standard price is $20...just unfair, and lacks transparency

  • NevadaTestSite Jimmy Says (@NevadaTestSite) reported

@cogecohelps Lost IPv6 this morning after a brief power outage in L2M today. Only thing I didn't do yet was reboot the technicolor modem. Any Cogeco IPv6 issues?

  • HughCook_ca Hugh Cook (@HughCook_ca) reported

@cogeco I'll ask it again: Rogers is giving its customers a refund for the recent major power outage. Will Cogeco be doing the same?
