I called technical support to ask if there is any way around keeping the Arris modem in operation. Call was at 15:54 for 6 minutes if you want to listen to it. I had to repeat myself. Bell Canada is the worst of the worst with Cogeco and Rogers close behind. They render only services they have to give while controlling what we see.
