Kind of a Mini-Comcast (disclaimer: owner). The familt keeps 80% of the votes via $CGO. Thesis. C$60, 5.0–5.3x EBITDA, 13x FCF, 6.6% growing dividend. FCF still C$500–550m on C$2.5bn of equity. Monte Carlo (20k): median C$88 / mean C$93, 79% of paths above spot. You get paid while waiting for US to stop getting worse. Risks. Breezeline is half of EBITDA and still losing broadband to fibre/FWA, they just wrote off C$1.2–1.8bn. Maybe sold once the operations will have improved? Net debt C$4.44bn (3.2x). Buybacks paused until ~3.0x. Priced in. Ongoing −2/−3% sales, margins stuck, capex stuck 20% of sales, WACC 8.5–9%. Discounts. dying-cable multiple + ugly US mix + leverage + dual-class shares.
