After this weekend I’m so very proud to be a “**** @Rogers” household. In 2018 an employee was using consumer accts to funnel free phones out be to sold outside of Rogers. My acct had 18 phones funnelled through it. Had I not checked into an exorbitant bill, I’d never had known.

  • mamma_tanya tanya (@mamma_tanya) reported from Toronto, Ontario

My bf, a few kms away, & at least one neighbour, are STILL without wifi. Since Friday. It’s Tuesday. How is @Rogers still in business? Why haven’t telecoms companies made agreements w/each other to ensure service during outages-it works for travel, why not at home?? It’s 2022.

  • johnpaille John Paillé (@johnpaille) reported from Toronto, Ontario

I haven’t been a customer with @rogers since 2018 and yet here I am still getting emails from them…

@RogersHelps ignite TV constantly freezing ever since the outage. Unwatchable. Have tried restarting modem and boxes multiple times for what it's worth.

  • sashaboersma Sasha Boersma (she/her) (@sashaboersma) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@MrAlexBethke @Rogers Except Bell did an oops of their own a couple of months back when their internet was down for a day and flakey for weeks. Tech sometimes goes down when repaired. The problem in both cases - where was your back-up plan so you can take A down and have B still work…

  • 2jehan Janet Greaves🇨🇦😷#🇺🇦💙💛 (@2jehan) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Rob16921 @Rogers That sucks when you don't have choice.

  • gastonl GastonL (@gastonl) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@RogersHelps I got my mobile service late yesterday night but my home internet is still down, is there any ETA for people in Etobicoke North (M9R postal code) ?

  • axwong AlexW (@axwong) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@RogersHelps To Mr Tony Staffieri Critical infrastructure to take outage for over 8 hours with limited to no redundancy and business resumption is more than a disappointment and unacceptable. Root cause not withstanding. Operational risks of Canadian network is vastly exposed to the globe

  • mishd27 Mish (@mishd27) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@RogersHelps is there another service interruption???

  • sashaboersma Sasha Boersma (she/her) (@sashaboersma) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@MrAlexBethke @Rogers Oh, there is a push for CRTC inquiry on the 911 issue, as they would have broken a condition of license (or whatever it’s called for telecom). That part is likely a breach of the Telcom Act.

  • always_xo #TIFFANY (@always_xo) reported from Toronto, Ontario

This is unacceptable and frankly rude of the rep to automatically assume that I required a Chinese speaking line— and to assume my ethnicity and background. Do better! @RogersHelps

  • DianeFisico Diane Fisico (@DianeFisico) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@RogersHelps @Rogers please note the Italian channels (650-656) are choppy (in Toronto); picture and sound keep going on and off. When will you TV service be operational? #RogersOutage #RogersIgnite

  • CNSERVATIVE_TO CONSERVATIVEdotTO (@CNSERVATIVE_TO) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Four days later, there are still some @rogers telecom customers in Toronto who have yet to have their service restored.

  • AmandaRisser1 Amanda Risser -- Canadian. 43 years old. (@AmandaRisser1) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Why didn't @Rogers send an emergency text(s) when services went down? Why don't they sell SIM cards from other service providers to use during an emergency like what travellers can buy on airplanes? Is it unsafe to buy these from @amazon and not your service provider?

  • aheim72 Annette Heim (@aheim72) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Anyone else still having issues with their Rogers Infinite TV? Won't connect & can't watch anything (internet is fine) 🤬🤬🤬 Getting really close to canceling EVERYTHING @Rogers @RogersHelps

  • WSIB_Paralegal Bruce Dust🥍 🤽🏻‍♂️ (@WSIB_Paralegal) reported

@coraliew @RogersHelps Oh yes, they will nickel and dime us, make us languish waiting on customer ‘service’ 🙄, and try their utmost to blame the customer and reimburse zero.

  • HRCs_bitch Police Mom 2 B (@HRCs_bitch) reported

@GeesPhilly @RogersHelps Like creating legislation allowing for competition in the cellular industry? Cause that's the only thing that will prevent 1/2 the country from losing their service all at once.

  • Amanda_Parsons Amanda Parsons (M.ED) (@Amanda_Parsons) reported

@IronOmie @dm_tats @Rogers If this wasn't a cyberattack, someone screwed up. Whether it's a mistake in coding with a software update or some other issue, someone made an error that translated into what happened. The person fired maybe a scapegoat, but there's no way this went down without a firing.

  • Samantha23Mac Sammy MacPherson (@Samantha23Mac) reported

@RogersHelps @Rogers One more outage from you and we are breaking up. I’m not joking this time!

  • 2amShopper 2amShopper (@2amShopper) reported

@WorldClassCrap @CBCToronto No word from anyone really. Their communication plan in a nationwide outage was practically nonexistent. @RogersHelps was a colossal failure. How does a communications company have NO communications plan in an emergency???

  • MARKSY22 MARKSY (@MARKSY22) reported

@RogersHelps Those of you bitching can easily fix this ..... get out your books and tablets then load the paper into you type writers and make sure you have envelopes ready , keep your home rotary phone beside you because they always work in case someone’s tries to call you ..then take a nap.
