Shaw Issues Reports Near Burlington, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Burlington and nearby locations:

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • ThatFunHouseGal 🇨🇦 Erin*YES im still wearing my mask*Kucharski (@ThatFunHouseGal) reported

@Shawhelp good morning! Over a month ago I requested via a FB form for someone to call me regarding my value plan. It expired at the beginning of Sept. No call. Tried the chat in the app - it was a joke, got nowhere Can you help me? #anirritatedcustomer #yeg

  • mrkaswa mr kaswa (@mrkaswa) reported

A @ShawInfo technician has been to one of the two boxes outside my house twice now. 3 hours since they posted the outage and it's still down.

  • mrkaswa mr kaswa (@mrkaswa) reported

@Shawhelp I can understand....sort of....the length of time needed to pinpoint such a small area (is there not software that can ping all your modems in a fairly large area, and then identify on a map those that do not answer?) But once the small area is identified, shouldn't the issue..

  • Rob_Garner_ Rob (@Rob_Garner_) reported

@ShawInfo why is my channel guide out of sorts. I have 5 channels showing Oprah network CTV has tsn, Disney broadcasting something else. What's the problem?

  • mrkaswa mr kaswa (@mrkaswa) reported

@Shawhelp I gotta say it's kinda weak that the public page gets update while the "internal sources" you look at seemingly know nothing. I can see where, if I'm on the ball, no one on you end may know, but if a tech is on the way, every support channel should be notified.

  • mefisto82 JonyDice (@mefisto82) reported

@ShawInfo Few days ago I made an upgrade and the signal is falling down constantly. What I have to do or is someone I can talk to make better my internet?

  • BVBattle Brian Battle (@BVBattle) reported

@Shawhelp Was getting a message saying channel was temporarily unavailable, give us some time to fix it, then it would go to the previous channel. It seems to be ok now. Was able to go back to the begin of Jeopardy, I’m happy now. Thanks for the quick response

  • mrkaswa mr kaswa (@mrkaswa) reported

@Shawhelp I know your do, and that people are working at fixing it, the fellow is back at that box for a third time just now. But there are so many problems with Shaw lately, that I feel the need to tweet more about it. I'm not using your handle though since the issues are not yours.

  • Shutup_Donnie TheDude abides (@Shutup_Donnie) reported

@shawhelp @shawdirect Spent 40 minutes in chat with support getting me to check internet speeds until I got a result he liked. Didn't help and I still lag and can hardly load videos/gifs. Great customer support #shawinternet #shaw #useless

  • mrkaswa mr kaswa (@mrkaswa) reported

@Shawhelp TV has gone down, looking like a result of no internet. Modem.happily flashing yellow or orange, whatever that is. All boxes have been un plugged and plugged back in. Central City area Surrey. Internet based TV is better, why?
