Shaw Issues Reports Near Burlington, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Burlington and nearby locations:

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@ShawInfo needs to sell @FreedomMobile at a discount. They have neglected the network. It's unacceptable that in this day and age rain interrupts mobile data.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • MisterJustinT Justin T (@MisterJustinT) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • Line_Fault Faulty (@Line_Fault) reported

Called @Shawhelp because I couldn't login to my Shaw account. Webpage told me to call. Waited, explained, explained it wasn't webmail. Put on hold. Disconnected.

  • downtownBotch Patrick (@downtownBotch) reported

@moneypennymb @Shawhelp Two remotes dojng the same thing: means the box is the problem. I’d get Shaw to send a tech so you don’t have to go wait any more

  • ASimpsonWPG Andrew Simpson (@ASimpsonWPG) reported

TV and internet went out last night. @Shawhelp couldn't help so are sending a technician THURSDAY. work from home and school from home shot and Shaw can't send anyone for a week? Miserable service. But hey, they're going to give me $35 credit for my trouble!

  • daxdaxterdaxton Dax® (@daxdaxterdaxton) reported

@Shawhelp Streaming service or tv subscription?!

  • ToontownJuggalo Jeffrey A. Richards (@ToontownJuggalo) reported

@Shawhelp WrestleMania is April 10th & 11th (traditionally on the WWE Network). WWE Network no longer exists in USA, but still does in Canada & elsewhere globally. So I don't know WHO I'd contact to find this out. SHAW should really have a dedicated web page regarding similar issues.

  • relaxincoco Dale Harris (@relaxincoco) reported

@Shawhelp internet service outage in Barrhead? Went down about 20 minutes ago. Reboot of modem has not fixed the issue. Can you confirm?

  • RRonsley Rebecca Ronsley (@RRonsley) reported

absolutely terrible experience with @shawinfo refusing to allow me to cancel my internet and then charging me for two extra months in addition to a cancelation fee! DO NOT recommend this company

  • dvdjtrpp David (@dvdjtrpp) reported

@Shawhelp @WWENetwork i looked ahead on the guide and there is no listing for wrestlemania. it still is on wwe network in canada, right?

  • EdmontonRaider Raider Jesse (@EdmontonRaider) reported

@JamesBuhlmann @arrrdeecee @Shawhelp Yeah apparently my block was down

  • stpierredan Dan St. Pierre (@stpierredan) reported

@divabarbieyyc @ShawInfo Well, now it’s a race. Who gets here first: Telus to install new service or Shaw’s technician. Bet I can get Telus here tomorrow for an install.
