Shaw Issues Reports Near Burlington, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Burlington and nearby locations:

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

So @bchydro doesn’t know how to do their jobs and has taken out the @ShawInfo network, costing us all thousands of dollars in lost work. Good times.

  • JorgeMatias679 Jorge Matias (@JorgeMatias679) reported

@Shawhelp Your having cable service issues in Williams Lake BC and that also applies to your internet. Did someone take out a critical utility pole? When do you think it will be fixed?

  • pawcelot le chat, c'est moi 🇺🇦 (@pawcelot) reported

@Shawhelp Is there some way to connect an additional wifi router to an XB7 but not disable the XB7's wifi network, so I have two wifi networks? Trying to get optimal performance out of Quest 2 Air Link.

  • WestKelownian Gordon Swaters 🇺🇦 (@WestKelownian) reported

@Shawhelp The option to "hide" unsubscribed channels on the guide on the Gateway HDPVR is malfunctioning. Tech support has updated, reset, and rebooted remotely (I've done a hard reboot too) many times but the problem persists. Worked fine until recently. Settings are correct!

  • RealCanadabear Aj (@RealCanadabear) reported

Returning unwanted gear back to @Shawhelp @ShawInfo via their method? Even after they receive the items before the 10-day limit they will have a collection agency send you a letter saying you owe them money. Why? because you didn't contact them with the Tracking number! #wtf

  • braindeadriotg1 braindeadriotgames (@braindeadriotg1) reported

    @ShawInfo @TreeCanada I hate your **** company

  • Sweetmystique2 Sweetmystique (@Sweetmystique2) reported

@ShawInfo - I can't believe Shaw is threatening to cancel my 85 year old mom tv service! She wanted to obtain our credit report to transfer her sevice to my account. My mom has Covid,,no compassion to let us deal with this on Monday

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

I hope @ShawInfo plans to pay for this day of lost work and explain to my staff why payroll is delayed because this is some insane bullshit. Also, when you have a recorded message about an outage, your website shouldn’t say “good news! No outages!”

  • gfliverpool9966 🇻🇨💙💛🇺🇦 The G.F. Liverpool™© 🇺🇦💛💙🇹🇹 (@gfliverpool9966) reported from Winnipeg, Manitoba

@Shawhelp Nope that’s not working. Looks like an outage on some channels.

  • SantosLHalper JeffScharer (@SantosLHalper) reported from St. Andrews, Manitoba

@Shawhelp lost tv signal for the 2nd time thus week...resetting it doesn't seem to be working
