Shaw Issues Reports Near Burlington, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Burlington and nearby locations:

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

  • MisterJustinT Justin T (@MisterJustinT) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@CM02051985 @smFISHMAN @ShawInfo Enter your info, it might redirect you to the Network. I get a Rogers pop up to enter my info, that might just be how it works for Shaw.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

@KCTS9 @Shawhelp just want to report really bad audio on most programs on PBS. News hour is almost unwatchable as every 2nd, 3rd word breaks-up. Same on (all) UK programs. Not sure about other shows but this going on for couple of weeks & getting worse! NOT my TVs. #vancouverBC

  • ABusyWorld1 Alex Loy (@ABusyWorld1) reported

@Shawhelp What about some help? Paying oodles of $ for your gateway/blue curve but get lip service from help desk. Chat is no good because I don’t have your internet connection. All day - nothing but trouble! My daughter needs your internet for school. Repair your equipment!

  • JTano0ki J Tanooki (@JTano0ki) reported

@Shawhelp, it's been over an hour since I sent a message and haven't received any confirmation that someone is looking into my issue.

  • DJKakekaze Kakekaze (@DJKakekaze) reported

@Shawhelp upload speed is super slow. Can’t even send a 10mb file. Chugs with files under 1mb.

  • FitSince96 Danny Holloway (@FitSince96) reported

@Shawhelp Day #5 neighbours are having the same issue,in St.Albert. No Blue Curve/internet, yet no service tech to come until Day 6

  • Bizzle025 The Painmaker (@Bizzle025) reported

@Shawhelp your internet network is the worst. Even Glo Nigeria is better than you. WTH is this terrible internet ?😡

  • ADHD2ePro Jillian Lindsay (@ADHD2ePro) reported

@Shawhelp Cant you just tell us when fibre will be working again? Not an individual customer issue, it’s a broad service issue.

  • JTano0ki J Tanooki (@JTano0ki) reported

@Shawhelp sent you a DM about 30 mins ago for an outage issue, but haven't received a reply. Thanks!

  • chettupper ***** (@chettupper) reported

@Shawhelp internet and phones down in Clareholm, Ab area. Any ETA for a fix?

  • aches63 Alan (@aches63) reported

@Shawhelp I just received the XB6 Gateway and installed it. It has rebooted itself about 3 times randomly since we started using it. This never happened with the old Motorola modem. What could be the problem?
