Shaw Issues Reports Near Burlington, Ontario

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Burlington and nearby locations:

  • AlsoKnownAs_AA Algis Akstinas (@AlsoKnownAs_AA) reported from Toronto, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @ShawInfo Good for people in AB & B.C. that can and want to bundle. But not focused on the underserved or accessibility. Have to have a fixed service, qualify. And accept zoned plan limitations. If you followed the Wireless Industry Review closely @TD_Canada these were some of key points.

  • DelroyDyer89 Delroy Dyer 🇻🇨🇨🇦 (@DelroyDyer89) reported from Toronto, Ontario

Today's #rogersoutage is yet another reason the government needs to divest @FreedomMobile from any sale of @ShawInfo. While all @Rogers brands including #chatr #fido are down, freedom customers have service because it's a separate network still.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@Mark_Goldberg @TELUS @ShawInfo No, I’m only talking about fiber in the ground. It needs to be treated like a utility, not like a competitive service. We don’t need to rip up streets twice and run multiple cables to each home. And if the government is funding it, it 💯 percent needs to be open access.

  • mgamble Matthew Gamble (@mgamble) reported from Oakville, Ontario

@bramabramson @Mark_Goldberg @Bell @Rogers @TELUS @Videotron @ShawInfo The problem today is mostly on inter-carrier calls, so if calls can be routed without using those trunks it would be a big win. I think I’m going to write a follow up post this week with a primer on PSTN routing.

@Shawhelp i don't understand, everytime i connect to our wifi my wifi is slow, i restart my phone and the blue curve still slow! But connect other network everything is fast

  • JayIsPainting JayIsPainting (@JayIsPainting) reported

@Shawhelp Why did you send me a link to install Facebook Messenger. Wtf?

  • HS_CaIn Hs (@HS_CaIn) reported

@Rogers wanting to take over @ShawInfo while convincing regulators that @Verizon entry to Canada would be detrimental is exactly the greed that we don't want in #Canada. #Canadians pay the highest cost for cell service for now we know has no redundancy for system failure.

  • kritafo Krista Jayne (@kritafo) reported

@Shawhelp is there a problem with webmail? I can't access on any device

  • sidramatik Sidra Mahmood (@sidramatik) reported

@CelesteCote @jansensan @ShawInfo Totes. Asking for my first name, last name, phone number, email, and full postal code - and those being mandatory to access a "free" service... C'mon.

  • fabfrugalmama Lisa @fabfrugalmama (@fabfrugalmama) reported

I'll never understand how @Rogers thinks that a $2 refund on my next bill will make up for the lost productivity and business during the outage. That's not a goodwill gesture, that's a slap in the face. And don't get me started on the @ShawInfo merger... BAD idea. #rogersoutrage

  • JayIsPainting JayIsPainting (@JayIsPainting) reported

@Alyzanacat @Shawhelp I despise Telus and have always had good service from Shaw but 3 weeks of this has my patience paper thin.

  • Zekku2 Andrew Kushner (@Zekku2) reported

@Shawhelp Trying to call in for business support but your lines hangup after 10-15m Can you advise?

  • AllisonMcnab Allison 🍁 (@AllisonMcnab) reported

@Shawhelp I don’t really need help, I just think it’s unhelpful to send new equipment to a senior citizen and then not allow someone to help her set it up. I got it sorted out, just a terrible decision

  • CuJoYYC Desk Jockey at Antifa Global HQ. (@CuJoYYC) reported

@Shawhelp I’ll see if I need to reboot again tomorrow. Once a quarter isn’t bad. Daily isn’t a good thing.
