My Shaw contract is up and I’m moving, new home can get Shaw fibre service. Disappointed that @Shaw will give me a deal to keep standard service but not fibre... may have to go with @Telus

  • MetalBlonde
Karina Halle (on hiatus) (@MetalBlonde) reported from Ganges, British Columbia

We’ve been stuck using Telus internet via cell towers until this gets sorted out, and it works only half the time. @shawhelp told us we would have internet in September. Then in October. Then in Nov, Dec, Jan...now @shawhelp is saying they’ll cancel unless we pay $5K

The excuses she gave me were pretty stupid IMO. I have concerns but they weren’t enough for her. That’s what I get for using Telus Health. Luckily my own doctor, who is on the mainland, will arrange for it if I ask (he’s also the one who told me to get a hysterectomy which is 🙌🏻)

  • Langfordman

So I’ve had no email service from #Telus since Wednesday. They aren’t answering service phone calls #telussupport When you ask them tough questions they ghost you. No solid answer of their email will be up #poorcustomerservice

@PrairieVeteran City of Calgary has 5 Level mgmt that can get down to 4 then 3 in 2 years. Redundancy positions. Buy off older Gen with 2 yrs severance pay. TELUS cut off 1400 employees by counting on the NEXT GEN. Stop adding personnel. ADMIN changes. Leadership? Positions stay the same. @DanWMcLean

@genocidalgirl Yes. I get promotional calls from Rogers, Telus etc. often from some Indian with their stupid accent to which my reply is always “I only do business with Canadians”. They hang up on my every time. I’m far meaner with the Indian fraud/scam calls.

@iPixelGalaxy @TELUS Had some issues with ROGERS myself and I decided to just get a eero gateway and additional pod. If I had the money I would get the Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway and a couple PoE pods. If you have a separate modem or can put the current one in bridge mode, I suggest making your own net

@TELUSsupport He said no idea. Probably it is the cable which I use it to connect device and Model. I know he is wrong because I always use cable with no such issue before. Telus does not follow up.

@Derricktgoat @PaulB527811000 I can’t see Elon being stupid enough to help his competition . Telestat is likely about to be bought by Space ex . Carney & his pal get rich. Rogers/Bell/Telus get to modernize Spacex gets all of Canadas wifi comms. Win win win, except for the billions Telestat already got

Follow-up on last week's Canadian telecom thread. The algorithm just moved Telus from OPTIMAL to CAUTION 🟠 $T.TO : Quality 58 → 40. New CEO announced a 54.6% dividend cut + C$2.1B impairment. 8-year growth streak broken. The double-digit yield was real last week. Today it's a reset story. $BCE.TO : Still OPTIMAL. Quality 57, Opportunity 88. No change. Its 42% cut was last year. The market already priced it. Last week I said Quality was barely above 50 for both. That warning aged well. One week later, one crossed the line. This is exactly why I built the algorithm. A 55% cut doesn't happen in a vacuum, it follows years of declining EPS (-10% CAGR). The motor flagged the leadership vacuum and structural headwinds last week as concerns. Today they became the story. BCE at C$30 with P/FFO 4.3x still looks like the better risk/reward in Canadian telecom. But anyone saying this sector is simple right now isn't paying attention. 🇨🇦

@VanIsleInvestor @TELUS They are AWFUL! I should have sold my shares when I cancelled. I decided not to be emotional. It cost me money...

@policytensor @Tasnimnews_EN (1 of 2) I don't know but my hunch is that the US Gov't issued a blocking order to my service provider, Telus, (apparently a Canadian-owned firm that does not operate in the US) and it obeyed. During the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, there was a standoff between the US and Canada
