@Ani1u7 @TELUSsupport For sure Telus is wrong.. Turning off Wi-Fi turns the feature off because it's something that has to be supported by the cellular network. I don't know what OS he was running. He's our IT consultant so he may be on a beta or something

@lav_sunrise Yeah it seriously sucks. Even if you go third party (I’m with Teksavvy for internet) the service is still distributed by Rogers/Bell/Telus/Shaw.

2/2 even though it was $0.00 that is what companies like Bell & TELUS etc usually charge on the credit card at first to see if it is valid always check everything daily through online banking - it is good I caught it - but sucks now b/c I have to change all my automatic payments

@TELUSsupport @TELUS I have been trying to upgrade my phone since 4 days. You automated prices shows 153+taxes for iPhone 11 Pro. I won’t pay that. There’s a technical issue with your chat box. I need a new phone in the next 3days. Help me out if you can.

@Qualifyfor @johndotbastable The questions asked here by this source are legit. Ask why #WeCharity is not addressing these issues. Also note this org is heavily reliant on corporate sponsorships. They've lost Telus, G&M, and Virgin in the last few days. They need to be more forthcoming.

@georganneb @char_lawyer @Bell @Rogers @TELUS Georganne, nobody dislikes those guys more than me but the systems were not designed for this. Same for internet. It’s like a water pipe to service an apartment complex is a foot in diameter but not if everybody is always home and taking showers simultaneously. Get used to it.

Tongues companies will take advantage of their customers. Come on @TELUS treat your customers with a modicum of respect. Then they go to a paperless bill, without making their customers aware. Roll over the data, #Telus stop cheating your loyal customers!

Oh man, someone on Reddit just reminded me of when Telus used to have their MiKE network back in the early 2000s. I remember some of my friends back in high school had those cell phones that had a built-in walkie-talkie. They looked so convenient to have by buzzing your friends.

@AlexanderDKB @peternowak 💯 percent agree. Telus admitted as much in their testimony- the competition isn’t in the RAN, it’s in the core. The network core and the functionality it provides is where an MVNO thrives or dies.

@jm_mcgrath If we think the cause of the issues with Rogers are greed or incompetence, then the solution would be a mass migration to their competitors (Bell, Telus, and a 1/2 dozen regionals) showing that we value reliability above all else. Seems more sensible than revenge firings. No?

@fern_60 @MrAhmednurAli And in Canada telecoms are a corporate monopoly with the govt enforcing it through the CRTC, which is stacked with former Bell/Telus/Rogers executives who act like they still work for their old employer rather than the public service. So much better, right?

@TLeafTO @Shelly69839779 @dbeggs13 I’d also really like to know how many essential services are tied to private companies? City of Ottawa warned that their call Centre was down. The Canada Revenue Agency was down. Presto worked because they’re tied to Telus but Metrolinx was down. That’s a LOT of critical services

What bugs me most about @Rogers meltdown is having no choice but to remain a customer. Not moving mobile to @Bell because I keep mobile/internet with separate carriers precisely for outage events. And @TELUS is useless on int’l service. So I have to put up with Rogers’s crap.🤬

@ghod Ahahaha! Neither Bell nor Telus are any better, they’re all trash. So it’s down to the deeply overpriced service at this point.
