@Telus, this #telus outage seems to be rather strategic. Somethings still work others don’t…

  • trackwanderer
mama bear (@trackwanderer) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

So glad we got DAZN for the singular reason that Telus has too many ridiculous problems.

  • MsYouDoYou
BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@hurrrdurrr @juliekrobe I mean, Copeman still exists, though owned by Telus now so not entirely. Also, you know full well the Canadian health care system would treat her and presumably she’s got travel insurance.

  • MsYouDoYou
BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

God speed the technician that comes back to deal with these @TELUS network issues because we have pages and pages of notes and screenshots and videos where we go from our 60 mbps to 0 until we reboot the system they fixed Thursday. I have to find somewhere to work tomorrow.

  • camcavers
Cam Cavers FKA Cam Cabers (@camcavers) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@infil00p I think they fixed it late evening, but I’m not sure; wife and I are on Telus and I actually just finished moving both my kids’ phones from Speakout (which uses Rogers network) to Public prepaid sims, which is obviously Telus as it was bought out in 2016.

  • brandonweese89
Brandon Weese (@brandonweese89) reported from North Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUS suddenly no service for over 5 minutes. What’s the issue????

  • pcryan5
Peter Ryan 🇨🇦🇺🇦 (@pcryan5) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@AmyBeeman @TELUS @TELUSsupport I start by asking - “how do I transfer my phone/cable/whatever service to another vendor?” Watch the costs drop from there…

  • dianesbaker1
Diane S. Baker (@dianesbaker1) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@Zpdoodaa Beginning of this thread, “I formed an off shore company….”. Why? As an American I assumed you work in the US. Off shore entities are created for tax avoidance purposes. TELUS is a network provider in western Canada. Have an off shore LLC used to allow a Chinese partner. Booted.

  • EastvanTrev
Trevor (@EastvanTrev) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Scam calls are getting out of hand. Over the past couple of days, I've had 5 calls for missing packages from DHL, CRA is sending someone to arrest me three times over and as of 5 minutes ago, my fourth covid emergency and I need to call back ASAP... Hey @TELUS and @Rogers , I bet

  • MsYouDoYou
BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@NoLogsNoCrime I will try this. We had Telus internet, too. But my strata won’t let fibre and Telus makes the other service useless so you’ll upgrade and we couldn’t run the business so we had to switch. Pretty sure that’s not solved so no going back.

  • SamMurchison69
🇨🇦🇯🇵The Sam Murchison show🇺🇸🇨🇦 (@SamMurchison69) reported from Richmond, British Columbia

@CIPSRT_ICRTSP Ask #Telus #bell #shaw if they would provide internet service to people who have no money for internet service at 8080 Anderson Rd Richmond BC. This is a necessity of life for some of the most vulnerable livi in extreme poverty. Please Bad Sam

  • Maria_here
HODLouly (@Maria_here) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@theJagmeetSingh You mean Telus has workers still? Every time I call there I’ve never waited less than 45 minutes on hold

  • spawnsteryvr
Steven 🇨🇦 ✡️ (@spawnsteryvr) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Why can’t I access my account @TELUSsupport? Broken links, can’t view/manage my account - this is not how you treat customers @TELUS.

  • Gusslin
Gustavo Lin | 林偉綸 (@Gusslin) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Still having issues with @TELUS wireless

  • DaleCadeau
DaleCadeau (@DaleCadeau) reported from Delta, British Columbia

@DrGurdeepParhar As a member of Telus Life Plus, I am jumping no queues. All medical procedures I receive are outside of Telus & are in the MSP “lottery” to receive health care. I don’t have a family Doctor so how can keeping me out of visiting emergency or walk in clinics hurt the system?

  • jamneria
Jana Angela Neria (@jamneria) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@FidoSolutions We're okay thanks, we've gone to @TELUS after that horrible experience with you guys.

  • JayGarfs

  • dave_pasin
Dave Pasin (@dave_pasin) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@keithbaldrey If youve ever had to deal with @Telus you’d know this fiasco is par for the course. On a good day Telus is in a tight battle for one of the worst customer service, unresponsive, bureaucratic co’s in the country, on a bad day you get what happened.

  • dyhiapadilla
Dyhia Belhabib (@dyhiapadilla) reported from North Vancouver, British Columbia

When @TELUS charges you almost 200$ for a basic internet service every month. Anyone using starlink for home internet in Vancouver?

    ChinoAleman (@chinoalemano) reported

First $NVDA (detective). Then $AMZN Kuiper (detective). Now Telus (detective). $AMPG is a diamond in the rough, and Johan just dug up the part almost nobody knew. Shouldn't be a billion company already? Crazy. Go read his thread. 👀 Here's the gist of what he found in the SEC filings: The 64T64R radio that now drives ~75% of AmpliTech's revenue? They didn't spend years building that IP from scratch. They bought it. In March 2025, AMPG acquired the full IP behind its 5G O-RAN radios from a private Delaware company, Titan Crest, for $8M, $3M cash, $5M in stock. And as Johan points out: The structure is the genius part. They didn't gamble $8M on unproven tech and pray a customer would show up. The bulk of the payment only triggered once a real Tier-1 carrier placed its order, and the filings name that carrier: Telus, one of Canada's big three. They paid for the IP only after the customer was already real. For a micro-cap, that's about as low-risk as an acquisition gets. Instead of burning years and millions on R&D... AMPG bolted its real strengths. RF engineering, US-based manufacturing, certifications, onto ready-made, validated IP. Years of time-to-market, erased. And on the final milestone, AMPG owns that IP outright, plus a 10-year non-compete locking the seller out. The flagship becomes fully, exclusively theirs. The chain Johan lays out is already live: → Titan built the tech. → AMPG turned it into a made-in-USA product. → Telus is deploying it. A sub-$200M company that bought the engine of its own growth, cheaply, almost risk-free, customer already locked in. Great find, @rk8215. This is the kind of DD that actually moves the needle. 🫡 Not financial advice. I'm long $AMPG. DYOR.

@JonFraserTF @TELUS I canceled my @TELUS account 8 months ago and sent back all my equipment. They kept sending me a bill for a home phone and I don't have one. I phoned Customer Service and had them credit my account for the charges. They did. I am still getting bills though!!!

@JonFraserTF @TELUS @TELUS needs to revamp their customer service. We need to speak to Canadians that actually speak English or French. Quit offshoring your customer service.

@JonFraserTF @TELUS I ended a 19 year cellular/internet stint with Telus 2 years ago. Took 4 months and 6 phone calls to finally get $143 refund from them. Best move ever. They treat you like fodder.

  • billycanada
    Dr. Billy Canada (@billycanada) reported

@gatorgar Think long-term. In 3 to 4 years you won't be getting your phone service from AT&t or Telus or Bell or Rogers or whatever you'll get it from starlink. The AI that you use will be in starlink satellites. The taxi you take will be a robo taxi from Tesla. Tesla robots will be mowing your lawn too

  • SmileAllthetim4
Smile All the time (@SmileAllthetim4) reported

@JonFraserTF @TELUS they are all bad - bell telus rogers anyway - the quiet best customers are ones they hose the most - customer service sucks and new customers onboard often at significantly less than the 20 year customers

  • JamesMcNeill59
    James (@JamesMcNeill59) reported

@JonFraserTF @TELUS Own your own phone. 1 to 2 year plan. Make sure the service is open after plan term. Now you're in a position to negotiate.
