Vidéotron Issues Reports Near Montréal-Est, Québec

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Montréal-Est and nearby locations:

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

I switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@sol_da_ @Videotron The audacity they have. + the representatives I spoke to had such bad attitudes. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor or something.

@Bell_Support I'll need someone to reach me very soon or I will be calling @Videotron tomorrow. Never have I had such bad service

  • badrmasri Badr S. Masri (@badrmasri) reported from Laval, Québec

@Videotron hi, fir some reason the helix app considers @joinClubhouse a threat. How can I fix that?

  • mlutteral martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron You don't have a technical support. I've been waiting 45 minutes and nobody pick up. You are pathetic

  • ElephantStoneHQ Elephant Stone (@ElephantStoneHQ) reported from Montréal, Québec

    @MikeSidel @Videotron Sucks

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

  • kathym425 Kathy M (@kathym425) reported from Montréal, Québec

@lesleychestrman @Bell_Support Good for you! Bell customer service sucks. I dumped them years ago and have been a happy Videotron client ever since.

  • sbg4evr sbg4evr (@sbg4evr) reported from Montréal, Québec

@JokeSins @Videotron Montreal also. My personal service is down. However, my commercial internet is working 🤔

  • mlutteral martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron I've been a loyal client for the last 17 years. I don't know who's making the big decisions in your company, but (s)he is a ******* idiot. In the span of about one year you went from the best ISP in town to one of the worst. Time to move.

  • sumtimw0ng khai (@sumtimw0ng) reported from Montréal, Québec

Hm, Videotron Internet is unstable tonight...

  • mlutteral martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Québec

Another internet blackout brought to you by the clowns at @Videotron The quality of their service has dropped to unbearable levels. ******* idiots

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron still charged me upfront $388+ tax with installation fees of $60 even though I chose to pay in $12 for 24 months. When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron is this the customer experience you want for your clients? So if I don’t have the money to pay $400 that I wasn’t supposed to be charged upfront, then you cut off my service and still leave me with the bill? This is none sense.

Vidéotron Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • rethcork Michael Krochter (@rethcork) reported

@peternowak I'm against this merger and the sale of spectrum to Videotron but want would have happened if they said no? What short and long term effects would that have had on customers, network stability and growth and the policies?

  • jonathanallard Jonathan Allard (@jonathanallard) reported

    Videotron is down thread

  • MannyTerrebonne COLDBLUE (@MannyTerrebonne) reported

@MatthewEvolves umm...the guy owns videotron ? you dont think he wants to have his stuff on his own network eventually ?

  • juycer Juliana C 🏳️‍🌈 (@juycer) reported from Longueuil, Québec

Besides providing a service with a speed way lower than I hired, @Videotron now is not working at all. I guess it’s time to change.

  • brianpa65577962 brianpartridge555 (@brianpa65577962) reported

@Vono13 @CP24 Not true at all. In Montreal, Rogers, Telus, Videotron and Bell worked together to install the network, at NO COST, to the City. It doesn't make them any more profits. BAI however wants to use our data to push ads to us, so they can make money.

  • TVBCRehfer TVBC (@TVBCRehfer) reported

@AnjaKaradeglija @BryanPassifiume Does that dismiss Tech Savvy's complaint that Rogers is giving Videotron a rate they cant get? If it does the next shoe to drop is the Rogers/Shaw approval.

  • BenKlass Ben Klass (@BenKlass) reported

Competitors have complained that the Rogers-Videotron-Shaw deal are anticompetitive: they cement Rogers and Videotron's position in the market while shutting out others. Teksavvy, for example, has filed a complaint with the regulator opposing off-the-books agreements like these.

  • MichaelGuitouni Michael Guitouni (@MichaelGuitouni) reported

@CRTCeng Every year we have augmentation of service price, a hoax between videotron and union. happen when they requested more money for their services as union. i worked in videotron , its how it work. like they give u stupid training just to claim taxes and credit from the gov

  • ReaperClose Mark (@ReaperClose) reported

@Videotron so after speaking with tech support, still no help. I’m priority to get service back but its been 3 days. Can I assume this month will be free??

  • Mark_Goldberg Mark Goldberg (@Mark_Goldberg) reported

.@TD_Canada: "Interesting disclosures by @Quebecor in 2022 Annual Information form" • Cable network covers ~83% of Quebec residences, all able to get 400Mbps; 70% of homes passed could get 1Gbps • DOCSIS 4.0 can deliver up to 10 Gbps down / 6Gbps up @Videotron #CDNtech #CRTC
