@gossbark @CRTCeng @Rogers If your device uses services despite those settings, that's an issue with your phone. You need to know how your device behaves with those settings. Better to keep Airplane or Flight mode enabled for duration of trip. Can manually enable Wifi when required.

  • BuNdOAVFC BuNdO AVFC (@BuNdOAVFC) reported

@RogersHelps here’s the issue! Called Sunday and useless rep failed to record ticket. I am a week with 1996-esque phone line service.

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps If there is a wooded area between the cellular tower and your location, signal interference can change as trees grow and lose leaves. Are there system settings available somewhere to determine signal strength?

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps While higher freq have greater bandwidth, they don't travel as far nor penetrate as well as lower freq (ie 700MHz). So it would be more susceptible to interference, like trees or buildings. Unfortunately, it may not be a solution for every situation

  • BuNdOAVFC BuNdO AVFC (@BuNdOAVFC) reported

@RogersHelps Additionally, I was billed WITHIN A WEEK OF THE INSTALL. For horrible service. 1996 phone line would rival this.

  • The_IT_Nerd The IT Nerd (@The_IT_Nerd) reported

And as part of this I want to give a MAJOR shout out to @Rogers Tech Support team who helped to get this couple back online after they almost got scammed. I criticize @Rogers a lot but their Tech Support team went above and beyond and that needs to be recognized in public.

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps Their Wireless Home Internet is based on sending/receiving signals from cellular towers. It would be limited by the same issues which cause interference for radiowaves. There are many factors which can affect cellular reception. Not sure what freq they use, but Bell uses 3500 MHz

  • tanyahayles tanya hayles (@tanyahayles) reported

No seriously. Help @RogersHelps. That live chat was TERRIBLE service.

  • Henny_VS Queen V (@Henny_VS) reported

that there are much bigger problems in the world rn, but if I am paying for a service and then FORCED to upgrade, I expect for those services to work! Especially for the ridiculously high fees @RogersHelps charges. I will be switching providers once this contract is over. 5/FIN
