@mrabson Any chance you’re on Telus or Koodo? Their free Call Control service blocks robocalls. I haven’t had one in more than a year.

@TELUSsupport Thanks, nope I didn't transfer this and got it from Telus last fall. Worked fine till this glitch today. But just had a friend call me and it's working again now. So I assume it was perhaps network congestion or something else temporary. Anyway, all good now!

Eric Goodwin (@auxonic) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@human3500 @ALL_CAPS Lol... do we have an approach? Other than telus/bell looking for handouts to marginally improve poor service

Amazing statement today by @TELUS - if you keep your phone on airplane mode while overseas you will still incur roaming charges. Only way to prevent this, leave you SIM card in Canada. Terrible #CustomerService by @TELUSsupport

  • wtoneill
Will O'Neill (@wtoneill) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@TELUS should market a home security service that blocks the daily ads I receive from Telus for their home security service.

  • mcguirp
Paul McGuire (@mcguirp) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

When told we will move to another company after our contract with @telus is over @TELUSsupport responded, this has nothing tobdovwith customer retention. I thought everything had to do with #CustomerService - there needs to be a better way!

  • MichaelSuddard
Michael Suddard (@MichaelSuddard) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@Ottawa_Biker @OC_Transpo Normally I don't have any issues in the tunnels until this past week and late week before. So strange. The St Laurent Mall Telus network usually picks me up no problem. Maybe I should try that one too. 🤔

  • mcguffindavid
David McGuffin (@mcguffindavid) reported from Chelsea, Quebec

@perreaux I ultimately quit Bell mobility and went to Telus for a variety of reasons which could be summed up as “I really didn’t feel like they gave a crap if I was a customer or not.” So far Telus feels more attentive. Kind of like the difference between Air Canada and WestJet.

  • mcguirp
Paul McGuire (@mcguirp) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@JenniferNKing @TELUS @TELUSsupport That's what they said. Will never travel with a @telus phone again. Lesson learned. Terrible customer service.

  • ealculumbre
EA (@ealculumbre) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@TELUSsupport I can confirm this is happening in #Ottawa area codes starting with K1Y. Please bring this up to management - Telus tech support has already acknowledged the issue and now we’d like to see it resolved. Keep us posted with steps your taking to resolve it.

@TELUS fix your dang app please. I can’t pay my bill through the app because it won’t load. I either get wrong password or cannot connect to server. #help

Hi @madebygoogle I love my Pixel 6 Pro but it's by far the phone with the worst signal strength I've had in my area. @koodo and @TELUS both have low signal normally but of the phone I've had this is the only one that has dropped calls and gone offline. I'm in the burbs.

  • ambivalent_one
ambivalent_one (@ambivalent_one) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

Hi @koodo! I'm wondering what I can do about consistently low cell reception at home. I get poor audio on calls, dropped calls and often calls go right to voicemail. This isn't new, it been gradually getting worse over the last couple of years. It's also affecting the Telus cells

  • antpepe
antpepe (@antpepe) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@tleehumphrey @TELUS It will be good, the working from anywhere needs more bandwidth. This will help people increasing their cellphone speeds. Businesses need to recover.

  • mcguirp
Paul McGuire (@mcguirp) reported from Ottawa, Ontario

@BrennenLisa @TELUS @TELUSsupport Seems to be. First time we have had these issues with @telus really suggest not travelling with a Telus phone #buyerbeware

@MPelletierCIO Ive been screaming about how telus lost the plot and how its valuation compared to peers was insane for 2 years. Come on, even a simple p/e comparison to peers was too hard for so called "professionals". no excuses for anyone hold telus, it was/is bad, red flags everywhere

  • TELUSsupport

@zulutruckeryyc Apologies, and that's definitely not the experience you should be having with your TELUS PureFibre service. To clarify, your internet services are no longer working?

  • CBC_vancouver
    CBC 🇨🇦 (@CBC_vancouver) reported

@christyclarkbc @grok before Christy Clark left office, she made sure the local telecom company Telus could not be named on Bc place. Here she is seen supporting bell on her jersey, a company from the east coast. What was the reason why she favours an east coast company? Revenue to help support taxpayer funded buildings would be good no?

  • WhtHatRebellion
    Kat Maven (@WhtHatRebellion) reported

@miket136 Cool 😎 what a great idea. Our remote crews all use Stalink now. No more stupid expensive telus air cards.

  • WheresOurHeroes
    @WeNeedAHero (@WheresOurHeroes) reported

DEAR AT&T and TELUS, Are you paying attention? A company is only as good as it's service and attention to the most remote and poorest members of its service area. (I still say the same thing about unions too). When areas in SE Alaska don't have phone and internet their lives are highly at risk. It's not just about a drop in communications, gaming, streaming movies or social media. It's a drop in safety tools for these island dwellers too. Not to mention that with millions of tourists every year robbing the locals of bandwidth with high data traffic locals end up in last place as highpaying users for lack of competition. Ketchikan’s main internet (KPU fiber via the Canada route, plus cellular from providers like GCI/AT&T) has "finite capacity". When multiple cruise ships dock and thousands of tourists flood downtown with phones and devices, and that shared bandwidth gets congested—slowing speeds for everyone. When the service is down, many local busineses lose the use of POS machines (but still pay the rent to have them). Starlink solves this in several practical ways: -independant backup, -reliable pathways and -outage resilience. Starlink is already a tremendous service for the Alaska Marine Highway System which is a class 1 essential service for SE Alaska, whereby these ferries are often the only way form of transportation between island communities for so many of these remote residents. In this age of high technology, the current tools, even with their own redundancies, just don't offer enough protections. This isn't an advertisement nor do I get paid for mentioning Starlink. But I will post pricing for SE Alaska residents because these remote areas need options: As of August 2026, Starlink’s regular U.S. Residential pricing (which applies in Southeast Alaska) is: Residential 100 Mbps: $55/month Residential 200 Mbps: $85/month Residential MAX: $130/month New customers can download the Starlink mobile app and the sign up opens on the initial screen. Competition is a beautiful thing. Just saying...

Does not help when they spend over 8b over 14 years on companies in the Telus Health area will little to no synergy benefits. Ag biz is bad too I hear. Add massive sector headwinds (Elon)… not pretty. They also have to stop silly vanity RE projects.

  • Bossmanrago
    Katie Rago (@Bossmanrago) reported

@TELUSsupport between August 28 and today I have spoke to at least 8-9 Telus agents to resolve a problem . I’ve had agents diarize to call me back as follow up … nothing . Any other business working like this would be bankrupt. Telus is the worst choice ever a client could make
