@Videotron Thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to pay for another service to be able to access my favourite shows. No savings for me 🙁

  • dancarnelly
Dan Carnelly (@dancarnelly) reported from Montréal, Quebec

So @Videotron tech support no longer 24/7 but now only from 9am? Wow, it’s just like living back in France. Got to take time out of work to get anything done.

  • zerojay
Jaaaaaayyyyy (@zerojay) reported from Montréal, Quebec

@Videotron It appears that there is an internet outage here. Are there any known active outages in NDG/CDN?

@fagstein @Videotron No internet problem on my Videotron account but two days ago I did notice my Videotron PVR cable box's time display was lagging by seven minutes!! Never saw that before. Just putting it out there.

@Videotron is service down? No Helix, no tv or internet access

  • IssaCheckmate
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec

I switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?

@Videotron There's another blackout now,and I've been waiting on the phone for the last 20minutes. Tell me how your service doesn't suck again? Gassholes

  • jayseereyes
jyseerys (@jayseereyes) reported from Montréal, Quebec

@Videotron Besides, I didn't because I wasn't aware of my limits till I received my bill. However, this month I did receive an alert regarding with my usage limits. So it wasn't a technical problem.

  • mtn_carnet
m@rie (@mtn_carnet) reported from Montréal, Quebec

    @Videotron Service internet.

  • jayseereyes
jyseerys (@jayseereyes) reported from Montréal, Quebec

@Videotron No, but chat with a customer representative. Even her couldn't provide any solutions instead apologizing for the situation. Well, her apologizing is not what I need because it didn't solve the charges or any kind of that matter.

  • zerojay
Jaaaaaayyyyy (@zerojay) reported from Montréal, Quebec

Videotron internet is down anyways so even if my modem was spared, I'd still be unable to work.

  • ElephantStoneHQ

    @MikeSidel @Videotron Sucks

  • juycer
Juliana C 🏳️‍🌈 (@juycer) reported from Longueuil, Quebec

Besides providing a service with a speed way lower than I hired, @Videotron now is not working at all. I guess it’s time to change.

  • dave_mac609
David MacIntyre (@dave_mac609) reported from Montréal, Quebec

@Videotron Three times in the last month you have needed to send a technician to my house to fix my internet and TV, and the same issues keep reoccurring. Internet has been AWOL since last night and TV signal weak. This is absolutely unac-*******-ceptable. Disgraceful. Do better.

  • fjvost
Felipe PJ (@fjvost) reported from Montréal, Quebec

Anybody else out of wifi internet? Seems to be an issue with @Videotron and @BellMediaPR on the east coast... #internetdown

  • IssaCheckmate
Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Quebec

@Videotron is this the customer experience you want for your clients? So if I don’t have the money to pay $400 that I wasn’t supposed to be charged upfront, then you cut off my service and still leave me with the bill? This is none sense.

  • IssaCheckmate

@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

  • alliareault

Issue can be resolved in my favor. I'm pretty sure @MarkJCarney wants Canadian gobal 15 min city Agora/ Villa to succeed. I know for a fact it's not. I'm NOT the problem. Videotron not following plan they're supposed to & Centurion too ignorant. Centurion/employees need to be OUT

  • FrancisTaquin1
    Francis Taquin (@FrancisTaquin1) reported

" With Rogers shutting its 3G network on July 31 too, it’s likely that Freedom Mobile and Videotron’s 3G shutdown is related, since its wireless customers also roam on Rogers. “Starting July 31, 2025, one of our Canadian partners will begin shutting down their 3G network, beginning with the province of Quebec, as well as Ottawa, and it’s surrounding areas,” says Freedom Mobile. Recently, Rogers and Fido have already started cutting off working phones that were using its 3G networks, in what was deemed accidental. Rogers is also charging a $75 network fee if users continue to use 3G networks. "

To end this thread, I'd ask @Videotron: 1) Is there a plan to implement #eSim? Don't simply say it's not available -- we know that! The question is whether there is a plan? 2) If "yes" to #1, what is the timeline to rollout? Saying it's a "non-issue" just doesn't cut it. 9/9
