Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, QuebecI switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?
-
Kathy M (@kathym425) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron Thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to pay for another service to be able to access my favourite shows. No savings for me 🙁
-
Cee (@CeeFor) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron @DjBlaster Interesting. We’ve dealt with Videotron maybe 3 times as potential customers and every time we’ve had agenda flat out refuse to speak English. Even when we get telemarketing calls, when I say I don’t speak French they just say “ok bye” and hang up. Always a bad experience.

Jaaaaaayyyyy (@zerojay) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron It appears that there is an internet outage here. Are there any known active outages in NDG/CDN?

martin lutteral 🇨🇦 (@mlutteral) reported from Montréal, Quebec@Videotron I've been a loyal client for the last 17 years. I don't know who's making the big decisions in your company, but (s)he is a ******* idiot. In the span of about one year you went from the best ISP in town to one of the worst. Time to move.

Internet has been AWOL since last night and TV signal weak. This is absolutely unac-*******-ceptable. Disgraceful. Do better.

-
Ann 🇨🇦 (@Annwatson29) reported@Lucky_NUM13 @Videotron It would be nice to be kept informed instead of letting customers waste time thinking the problem was at our end like the message on TV implies.
-
Gerv (@Gervcomo) reported@LucDupont @Videotron Same today, i've noticed this a few times recently, never happened before, i'd say since last fall. One of the few reasons i keep cable. They better fix the problem or i'll subscribe online and cut this cable....finally !

Francis Taquin (@FrancisTaquin1) reported" With Rogers shutting its 3G network on July 31 too, it’s likely that Freedom Mobile and Videotron’s 3G shutdown is related, since its wireless customers also roam on Rogers. “Starting July 31, 2025, one of our Canadian partners will begin shutting down their 3G network, beginning with the province of Quebec, as well as Ottawa, and it’s surrounding areas,” says Freedom Mobile. Recently, Rogers and Fido have already started cutting off working phones that were using its 3G networks, in what was deemed accidental. Rogers is also charging a $75 network fee if users continue to use 3G networks. "
