Riddle me this: @Bell’s parent company Bell Canada Enterprises reported 4th quarter profits of $889M, up from $672M last year and they took gov’t $$ too from the Covid subsidy program. YET they needed to cut jobs for the “stability and growth of the business” as per their CEO?

  • hyperbolicmom Keri H. (@hyperbolicmom) reported

@Bell you're oddly silent for being so supportive of #LetsTalk Let's talk about what a garbage company you are for firing hundred of innocent people who are beloved by thousands. Let's talk about how you blindsided people during a pandemic, people with dependents. #fuckbell

  • PartPhil phil (@PartPhil) reported

@theMattHastings @Bell I wouldn’t say criticizing a Corp who took $122M in payroll subsidy, who paid their CEO $10M, and has $60bn in assets, is offside, after firing hundreds of people during a pandemic. BellLetsTalk is a marketing campaign that allows a bad company to do some good.

@NateDrescher @TekSavvyBuzz @Bell To be fair, im on a 10mb wireless LTE .. with two adults and a kid doing online learning (which is all video). Im not sure that one NEEDS 1gb. Its definitely better, no doubt. Having said that, telco's are criminally awful. Always.

@TheFauph @Bell They've been a scummy company for years. There's a reason they've faced class actions over their customer service...they are awful. They still owe me for buying the dish that their installer "lost" on his way to my install, 18 years ago. I'm not even kidding.

  • shortbus2006 Ryan Millar (@shortbus2006) reported

  • andym604 Andrew McDonald (@andym604) reported

@Bell Go **** yourself @Bell. I will never use your services.

  • jloutet79 Jason L (@jloutet79) reported

@RmystiQue78 @Bell No idea. It’s a terrible look and you can’t tell me finishing out the day would have been a deal breaker financially.

  • larryeloy Larry Eloy (@larryeloy) reported

@Shawhelp After the changes made over the past week with @Bell . I have some questions before making a switch from Bell to Shaw. 1. Did Shaw access any money from the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy program - if so how much? 2. How many layoffs has Shaw has in the past 11 months?
