My @Bell wifi is down, and my @Rogers LTE is barely getting a signal. This is the telecom gov’t-mandated oligopoly in Canada: excessively expensive and terrible quality.

@Rogers @AboutRogers just credited me $1 for an outage that lasted almost 3 hours. I work from home and lost my entire shift because it happen early in the shift so I did not get paid. My work days have already been reduced. I rely on my internet for work so I will be switching

9/10 @rogers showing that they value their profit and ability to pay shareholders above stepping up to help #canadian workers who have lost their jobs and trying to survive I doubt I'm the only one looking to save $ one their #cellphone during #Covid_19

  • NoobDavidGames
David (@NoobDavidGames) reported from Owen Sound, Ontario

@RogersHelps At this point I'll wait out the contracts and cancel them 1 by 1 until I have nothing left with you guys. I'm sure @Bell or a company that competes with you will love my money

@S_dF @Rogers @RogersHelps Thanks Steve. True that. We pay enough in Canada as is. Story is a fibre cable was cut. Two entire area codes have been down since 2pm yesterday. No ETA on when the repair will be done. Hey, accidents happen. The timing sucks though.
