Rogers Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • YzabettaSativa Yzabetta Sativa (@YzabettaSativa) reported

@Rogers Now I am on the phone app with a brisk and unhelpful customer service operator. Yay!

  • KatyChancey Katy (@KatyChancey) reported

Hey, @RogersHelps, my home internet is down. Rebooted modem twice, no bueno. Any know outages in Ottawa?

  • BuNdOAVFC BuNdO AVFC (@BuNdOAVFC) reported

@RogersHelps Please Understand that my connection sucks and your ace technician passed this install under 1MBPS

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps It should also be noted that cellular bandwidth is finite. That is, if there are many customers in the area with same service, they all share the same bandwidth which usually results in slower speeds

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps While higher freq have greater bandwidth, they don't travel as far nor penetrate as well as lower freq (ie 700MHz). So it would be more susceptible to interference, like trees or buildings. Unfortunately, it may not be a solution for every situation

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps If there is a wooded area between the cellular tower and your location, signal interference can change as trees grow and lose leaves. Are there system settings available somewhere to determine signal strength?

  • m1lkkman Nigel (@m1lkkman) reported

@RogersHelps any issues in the Don Mills and Sheppard area? My internet has been going on and off all day and now it is completely off even after rebooting the router.

  • CircularLogic89 CircularLogic (@CircularLogic89) reported

@BuNdOAVFC @Rogers Is there a modem or router connected to the antenna? If so, can you get speed test directly via wired connection? Your Wifi signal seems to be rather weak as well. Could affect data speeds

  • GTArenovator Colonel Mustard (@GTArenovator) reported

@rogers Your service rates fuel “growth and acquisitions” while providing worse service every day! It’s almost like this company is throttling their entire network/using rolling outages to max profits and minimize their server bandwidth. Never seen as many outages as last 2mons!

  • YzabettaSativa Yzabetta Sativa (@YzabettaSativa) reported

@RogersHelps you just woke me up at 4 am by sending me back to back texts and yet I can’t talk to anyone about it until business hours which you don’t cite on the recording. Help me understand this business practice?
