@AboutRogers @Rogers Something of this scale and magnitude should NEVER happen. Restaurants, banks, concerts, airlines, jobs etc. all affected. Whatever “compensation” you come up with will surely be inadequate. I hope regulators punish you severely and smart consumers find other providers.

@AboutRogers @Rogers You better be compensating every single rogers customer for this ****.

@CityNewsKIT It's time to dismantle the monopoly. Thankfully I'm with Bell so my service weren't disrupted. Unfortunately with debit machines being down it disrupted the majority. How is @Rogers going to compensate us?
-
Just Beth (@protocrone) reported
@CheriDiNovo @Rogers We were without services for 3 months this year, because our service provider refused to repair old lines that went down during a storm. We were forced to wait until the planned switch from copper to fibre this summer. CRTC did nothing.

Wendy Sanderson (@wendysland) reported from London, Ontario
@RogersHelps Will customers be reimbursed for this outage that have cell, home phone, internet & Ignite TV? That equates to about $19 or more per day for some!
-
Holly (@Hollaaaay) reported
@AboutRogers @RogersHelps I sincerely hope the credit is a little better than the last time this happened. Mistakes happen, but this is the second major outage within a year….that $1 refund just doesn’t isn’t it

One of 2 things are happening with the #rogersoutage . Either it was a cyber attack, which should absolutely be considered an act of war, or @Rogers systems are too weak and vulnerable to meltdowns. Canadians should put their foot down and find another provider to go to
