  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

I switched to @Videotron on June 8th 2021. They offered their high speed internet service, Helix with no installation fees. They gave me 2 options: - Pay for equipment upfront: $388+ tax OR - Pay $12 + tax/month for 24 months. I went with the 2nd option. But guess what?

  • dirtydinarzo Tom (@dirtydinarzo) reported from Kirkland, Québec

@lesleychestrman @Bell_Support Good for you! Bell customer service sucks. I dumped them years ago and have been a happy Videotron client ever since.

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron is this the customer experience you want for your clients? So if I don’t have the money to pay $400 that I wasn’t supposed to be charged upfront, then you cut off my service and still leave me with the bill? This is none sense.

  • sbg4evr sbg4evr (@sbg4evr) reported from Montréal, Québec

@JokeSins @Videotron Montreal also. My personal service is down. However, my commercial internet is working 🤔

  • piccologang 🌸 L i v L a u g h L o v e 🇹🇹 🇵🇱 (@piccologang) reported from Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Québec

When Videotron calls you to solve your problems, but actually doesn't lmao.

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron still charged me upfront $388+ tax with installation fees of $60 even though I chose to pay in $12 for 24 months. When my bill came out on July 9th, I called customer service. They told me it was a mistake and that they would see what they could do. Lol

  • IssaCheckmate Issa Sissoko (@IssaCheckmate) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron said this kind of thing happens (often?) & that the only option I have is to accept their “courtesy” of $75 and pay the rest otherwise i will receive late fees and eventually they will cut off my service and come get the equipment but that I would still have to pay.

  • ElephantStoneHQ Elephant Stone (@ElephantStoneHQ) reported from Montréal, Québec

Anyone else having @Videotron internet issues?

  • kathym425 Kathy M (@kathym425) reported from Montréal, Québec

@Videotron Thank you for the explanation. Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to pay for another service to be able to access my favourite shows. No savings for me 🙁

@Videotron I sent the details for my account. Also, you should get verified on X... You are cheaper than an Etsy creator selling tampons selling tampons made out of fall leaves. YOU REEEEALLY need to get your **** together.

  • FrancisTaquin1 Francis Taquin (@FrancisTaquin1) reported

" With Rogers shutting its 3G network on July 31 too, it’s likely that Freedom Mobile and Videotron’s 3G shutdown is related, since its wireless customers also roam on Rogers. “Starting July 31, 2025, one of our Canadian partners will begin shutting down their 3G network, beginning with the province of Quebec, as well as Ottawa, and it’s surrounding areas,” says Freedom Mobile. Recently, Rogers and Fido have already started cutting off working phones that were using its 3G networks, in what was deemed accidental. Rogers is also charging a $75 network fee if users continue to use 3G networks. "

  • peteypopetey PeteyPoPetey (A user) 🇨🇦 #ReleaseTheNames (@peteypopetey) reported

Freedom wasn't great for cell phones (lots of complaints online) but since Videotron bought them I expect things to be much better. We switched on phone to Freedom and so far, other than a bumpy setup(*), it's been great. *They put the wrong # in one of the account fields so RCS wouldn't work, couldn't explain how and couldn't fix it until we went two service tiers up. Also twice claimed they sent emails which somehow never arrived.

  • johnmeloche John Meloche (@johnmeloche) reported

    @Videotron you guys having issues?

  • cdnpoliticojnky Matt Ess (@cdnpoliticojnky) reported

@JaredDapena Not sure if they’re out east, but I switched to videotron years ago. With their bring your own device rate it’s much cheaper and way better service than all the big 3
