@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers CRTC is a total "Old Boys' Club," controlled by ex-telecom industry executives. They are there to help their buddies and their stock portfolios, not consumers. That is why Canadians pay 3-4x more for cell phone and Internet service than consumers in the US.

@JustMeJamie64 @SecondGuerilla @Rogers Isn’t the cdn cell phone cartels one of the issues with the tariffs and trade agreements. I’d rather be annexed than deal with a country that just sent 10s of 1000s of men to invade Spain.

@RogersHelps @Rogers breaching your own contract and pinning it on customer to pay early termination fee, is just horrendous.

I’ve spent weeks trying to resolve billing issues caused after moving from Toronto to Montreal, where you couldn’t provide service. I’m being charged fees I was told would be removed, and my payment arrangement was changed without my consent. How is this acceptable? @Rogers

@RogersHelps I am trying to dispute some charges for US roaming. I was told a block had been put on the account when I had the same issue last year, but it appears more got through again later. I've never visited the US during the timeframe but was working an hour or so from the border.

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Because it’s cheaper! Would you notice the difference if it was out of Brampton? Did they provide good service? Were they professional? Do you think being in Canada woulda have been a quicker call? Will you pay higher prices if you knew the company only employed within Canada?

  • pXnEmerica
    pXnEmerica (@pXnEmerica) reported

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers They used to, many companies used to. The standard for those centers was call time. So everyone basically had a manager behind them bickering at them to get the call time down. It becomes competition between teams who can get the call time down. The service standard dropped to nothing, people accepted it or in our case, have no reasonable alternatives due to the regulation of media and infrastructure in the country. Once people accepted it it was cheaper to outsource and automate.

I was told my service had to be cancelled because Rogers couldn’t provide service at my new address in Montreal @Rogers

@JustMeJamie64 @Rogers Called last week, on hold 1hr 25mins. Agent did not resolve issue. Its absurd and unacceptable that Canadians are held hostages by these telecoms. They have no problem taking exorbitant fees from us but have issues providing the service that go along with the cost @FP_Champagne.
