Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Mount Pleasant and nearby locations:
  • RichardsonYVR ChristopheRichardson (@RichardsonYVR) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Crazy ... Nonsensical ... arrived for non-life threatening but ‘E’ medical appointment referral AND @TELUS is DOWN ( again ) ... chaos ... interesting how we take technology for granted ...

  • stuball6251 Stuart Dickson (@stuball6251) reported from New Westminster, British Columbia

@MelissaLMRogers @jstweedie Post a sign ShiftWorker Absolutely No Canvassing or Solicitation Used to work shift work, if some one ignored sign it was sometimes worth it to give them hell (and see who/what they were hawking) Telus and Shaw cable salesmen were the worst.

  • luisgiraldo Luis Giraldo (@luisgiraldo) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

I think I’ll move all my IT company mobiles to Rogers. That’d *actually* be faster than getting a call answered by @TELUS client “care” to fix a plan change they screwed up.

  • galleryss Shawn Sviridov (@galleryss) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@AllyBertamini @BarbSchmidt4 @TELUSsupport @DebraPurdyKong - As someone who works in related technology field, I can imagine Telus is putting a momentous effort in. These failures can be so complex that restoration can take longer than even the IT techs expected. Telus for sure working hard with no sleep on this issue.👍

  • StevenINK Steven Schelling (@StevenINK) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@gazzer49 @TELUSsupport @TELUS I’ve given up, Gary. Moving to a Gmail server and maybe changing my home service.

  • jimgordontv Jim Gordon (@jimgordontv) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport I am 2 hours from "Outage Day 3" here in Vancouver, emails coming in, brief windows of being able to reply. For the 4th time in the last 24 hours, please update!!! #telus

  • Margieville Margieville (@Margieville) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Over the past couple of days I've experienced the best & worst of customer service & support. @lululemon has killed it yet again with their planning for @SeaWheeze - great customer support. My experiece with my @telus webmail & @TELUSsupport has been quite the opposite.

  • Margieville Margieville (@Margieville) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

I'm in the 2nd day, heading into the 3rd with no email service which means all the documents I need & memories which are being shared with me for this weekend's race aren't accessible. You're one of the largest telecom companies @TELUS get your crap together and fix this!

  • RSine57 Ron Sine (@RSine57) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport still 36 and still counting hours with no email. No answers as to why either. Poor job for everyone associated with #TELUS Do Better

  • spawnsteryvr Steven 🇨🇦 ✡️ (@spawnsteryvr) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@pacificbird @TELUSsupport Yeah been getting those too. Email is very sporadic. What might not send right away, ends up going a couple of minutes later. I checked the outage page and Telus is still experiencing issues. Supposed to be resolved sometime around 1 P.M. PST.

  • spawnsteryvr Steven 🇨🇦 ✡️ (@spawnsteryvr) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Email down and out in Vancouver.....again. Thanks for nothing #Telus.

  • jimgordontv Jim Gordon (@jimgordontv) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport This has been a disgraceful (and for me, expensive), technical episode #telus and as a 25 year loyal customer who has cell, home phone, internet and tv with you, I will be looking at whether I continue with you!!

  • banger19 Michelle Bancroft (@banger19) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport Any word on when this outage will be resolved. Difficult to conduct business and connect with people without email. #telus #compensation

  • jimgordontv Jim Gordon (@jimgordontv) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport Im a 25 year #telus customer and have everything with you guys. This ongoing outage problem on a work day is inexcusable!! You've cost me a day's wages!!!

  • j_holtslander Jay Holtslander (@j_holtslander) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@chrisonhismac I despise Telus as a service provider so I’ll stick to Rogers even with the lesser coverage.

  • SbonnerABV SbonnerABV (@SbonnerABV) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

I’ve had TELUS at my condo in Gastown for over 20 years. Way better service and 4K services. Waiting for them to arrive in Yaletown to switch over.

  • spawnsteryvr Steven 🇨🇦 ✡️ (@spawnsteryvr) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TransLink The problem here is that Shaw, at best, is free for 1/2 hour if you’re not one of their customers. Telus (what’s in Metro Vancouver taxis) would’ve been better. That’s actually free.

  • jodyvance Jody Vance (@jodyvance) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@rxstephanie @Yankoster @TELUSsupport @TELUS I will give them a chance to fix what's happened. Having my bill jump by $20 a month, without reason, is sketchy.

  • Westjet007 Jennifer West (@Westjet007) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

I seriously recommend that people NOT get services with @Shawhelp. They don't keep their word and customer service is atrocious. Telus is your better option.

  • MeowjinBoo River B^#!$ Meowjin (@MeowjinBoo) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@smashforwarddoc @TELUS @STORYHIVE Oh damn the project won. Grats!

  • KalpnaSolanki1 Kalpna (@KalpnaSolanki1) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport Fibre is available in our area and line is in place. Tech just did not know how to do the connection! Yet, @telus discontinued the old service!

  • KalpnaSolanki1 Kalpna (@KalpnaSolanki1) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Tsk Tsk @TELUS cancelling my old internet service in anticipation of fibre optic being connected WITHOUT verification that the work had actually been completed. Now I have no internet connection at all @TELUSsupport #FAIL

  • KimABowie Kimberley Bowie (@KimABowie) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@Ian_A_MacDonald @jodyvance @TELUS I’m so sorry. Telus is brutal and overcharges me every month. And customer service is abysmal.

  • iheliconnet HeliConnect (@iheliconnet) reported from Delta, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport been on hold for 30 minutes. Soon as a delta cable/eastlink gets a bit higher speed I’m so gone. We have a total outage. No acknowledgment on Telus’s past othervthan leave you on hold. Could at least put a notice out or something! SUCKS!!!

  • MarkBreslaw Mark Breslaw (@MarkBreslaw) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport I did call the sales team and was hung up on so I do t want to call in again. I would like to be treated like a customer TELUS wants to keep. Please tell me what iPhone options are available for the same deal I already received a confirmation for less than a week ago

  • MsAlexi Alexi (@MsAlexi) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport I understand that scheduling and servicing takes time. However, we’ve been a TELUS customer for a long time and for a communication company, communication could be greatly improved. Now we wait... and looking at other providers that could get us connected ASAP. 3/3

  • GrainneMcElroy Grainne McElroy (@GrainneMcElroy) reported from Richmond, British Columbia

Support: Manage the Help @TELUS #BCNET201

  • MsAlexi Alexi (@MsAlexi) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport @TELUS When you’ve been using PureFibre internet for over 4 years and to find out that the new home you’re moving into does not have PureFibre even though the website and TELUS support confirmed that we have it, is a shitty to find out on your moving day 👎 1/2

  • hawes Stefan Hawes (@hawes) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Discovering a problem with the modern world. When your Internet goes down and you have to wait a couple of days for someone to come by to fix it, you’re also without TV, movies, and music. Might just have to read in silence. @TELUS

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Every single time I have to talk to @TELUSsupport (often) it’s a great experience. I know people have TELUS issues but I am consistently pleased with their service and not enough people say positive things on this yelling machine.

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

I really enjoy @TELUS as a company and have so very few issues with them or their services. I hope to heck when we move we can get fibre optic tho because it’s not workable in this townhouse and it’s annoying af.

  • ckmng8 Camy Ng (@ckmng8) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

    Breaking down language barriers! I want to subtitle everything! @DustinJez @FCLEdu #transform2030 #microsofteducation #microsofteduca #telus #microsoftvan #wemovement #vancouver #BCEd #learning #SD43 #professionaldevelopment #****

  • aarongurney Aaron Gurney (@aarongurney) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUS I am having a frustrating time trying to call you guys to purchase Internet service from you. My call has been dropped 3 times and the call-back feature is no longer available. Please make it right.

  • spawnsteryvr Steven 🇨🇦 (@spawnsteryvr) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport This is very odd. Some email is coming through but I know not all. Sent a test message from Gmail to TELUS, which was slow in receiving but I did get. Also just received one from something I subscribe to but still a minimum of 2 emails outstanding.

  • fjgomezl Francisco Gomez (@fjgomezl) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

TELUSsupport @TELUS Pik tv not working at the worst possible time @oscars2019

  • lorrain18185158 LARAINE (@lorrain18185158) reported from Richmond, British Columbia

@JillKrop Hi Jill, I’m looking at switching from Telus to Freedom have you heard any negative comments about dropped calls or bad reception outside of your “home” area thank you

  • sixo_four SIXO FOUR (@sixo_four) reported from North Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport @TELUS I have been a loyal customer for years and when my contract is up and I request a promo offer from your website and you say NO, makes switching to @ShawInfo that much easier of a decision. Brutal.

  • jimmybee604 James (@jimmybee604) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUS wrote me a letter than opened with a self praise paragraph about how they won awards and how great they are. In the second paragraph they told me my bill is going up $10/month. What type of BS customer outreach is this. #crappytelecom #big3monopoly

  • seeking_Taylor Taylor (@seeking_Taylor) reported from Delta, British Columbia

And now I need to deal with Telus mobility. Frustrating really because I’ve been a loyal mobility and home TV customer for over 15 years and it all seems like a massive rip off.

  • stuffapproved Ronald Swizzler (@stuffapproved) reported from Richmond, British Columbia

@RogersHelps I’m pretty sure it’s your job to BS your customers. #telus never had these issues, but #rogers is horrible in the #canadaline tunnel section, especially towards Richmond. Of course I have roaming on.

  • bob_woolsey Bob Woolsey (@bob_woolsey) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@johnVcorbett @PattyOLimerick Don’t take this the wrong way, but as a Vancouverite who’s watched Ian Gillespie run amok for years... hahahahahahahahaha. Yeah, West Bank is terrible. Look up the TELUS Gardens development.

  • ArnoPrincestonP Arno Princeston Pan (@ArnoPrincestonP) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Forgot #Telus public Wi-Fi, it doesn't work well with #BBM or other apps.

  • dave_pasin Dave Pasin (@dave_pasin) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@LesliBoldt @TELUS @shawcable Been there done that and by the time the 90 to 120 minutes is up I remind them that it’s a lot harder to find a new customer than keeping a current one and usually get a better deal or credit of some sort. After yelling at them about how awful they are & apologies are meaningless

  • dave_pasin Dave Pasin (@dave_pasin) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@LesliBoldt @TELUS Well you’ve been productive that’s better than me as I swear at the phone for an hour and a half waiting for @shawcable. Your patience and industriousness is amazing. It seems the race to the bottom for horrid customer service is always ongoing between Canadian telecoms.

  • bh_ brant h (@bh_) reported from Mount Pleasant, British Columbia

Don’t let the ads fool you. Here are the facts: - lawyers = bad - pipelines = bad - the good doctor = bad - young sheldon = bad - the good deeds cup = bad - cars, trucks, suvs = bad - rogers, telus, bell = bad - td, rbc, bmo, scotiabank = bad

  • cashmad cashmad (@cashmad) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Man. The @TELUS OptikLive is truly awful. Sorry to be Debbie Downer but it’s just terrible. Sports are basically unwatchable. #choppy #laggy #TeamCanada

  • dennisloveds Hao Xie, Dennis (@dennisloveds) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport No internet half day. Called support and they said don’ know when will be fixed. Switch to Telus less than a month.......

  • dennisloveds Hao Xie, Dennis (@dennisloveds) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Telus internet is down in burnaby. Feel so bad in the Christmas Eve @TELUS @TELUSsupport

  • VCC_Alumni VCC Alumni Relations (@VCC_Alumni) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Nice way to end 2018, a confirmed gift from @FriendlyFuture and @TELUS in support of our #toothtrolley

  • IAmEvenSteven Steven (@IAmEvenSteven) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@ferliciaf89 @TELUSsupport On the phone with support now. Since the line doesn’t appear on live tv, must be something on Telus’ end. Right now my internet and optik box are being rebooted, though don’t see how that’ll make a difference.

Telus Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
  • YorkMccrea Ruth York McCrea (@YorkMccrea) reported

@fauldsca @TELUS ...because (sick) people don’t just stop being sick after hours and on weekends. So true. This is so infuriating, I’m sure. I remember so many weekends/holidays in-patient when care was sub-par because support of one kind or another simply was not available.

  • Anavlis Anavlis (@Anavlis) reported

@buzzbishop @TELUS I’ve never had issues with Shaw. My friends switched to telus a year ago and just switched back to Shaw because they had nothing but issues

  • PeterVogel Peter Vogel (@PeterVogel) reported

Based on this one data point Telus still has work to do to restore its email service.

  • reasonablewlvrn Darren Cargill 🇨🇦 (@reasonablewlvrn) reported

@fauldsca @TELUS Expectation is 24/7 care without 24/7 support. I'll suggest this extends far beyond EMRs...🤔 Seems like our whole HC system works this way.

  • MGregoryAuthor Morgan Gregory📚 (@MGregoryAuthor) reported

@fauldsca @TELUS ...and if a bad outcome stemmed from an outage (potentially from their end @Telus such as an update, failed b/u, storage issue, etc) & u didn’t get/treat critical results (fx, labs, etc) try explaining THAT to the pt. let alone the CPSO. With our monthly fees- we deserve 24/7 IT

  • PeBoVision Paul Bonnette (@PeBoVision) reported

@Torture05445866 @TELUS Lying to customers and treating them like sacks of shit is a prerequisite to operating a major telecom company in Canada (I think they have it written down in a rule book somewhere). Telus, Rogers, Bell - same animals, different skins

  • fauldsca Cathy Faulds (@fauldsca) reported

This is why docs hate IT - no EMR this am and no ability to get the IT support in action! So unsafe.....sorry but if we use IT we need 24/7 IT support Health care is 24/7 @TELUS

  • rpratt039 Robert Pratt (@rpratt039) reported

@DermotShirley @TELUS Sony is more stable, more memory, fewer unremovable sponsored adware programs. Samsung is better than it used to be. Apple is pure unadulterated shit, more marketing ploy for marginal improvements for huge $. My 3 year old Sony outperforms my new Samsung.

  • TheSavvyJ JJ (@TheSavvyJ) reported

@KatePorterCBC @AllanHubley_23 So I had no cell service in the tunnel today. I thought @TELUS was ensuring all passengers would have cellular connection in the tunnel while also providing wifi at the 3 underground stations. @JimWatsonOttawa

  • decayinwtheboys Christian Tiberi (@decayinwtheboys) reported

telus doesn't have el assico on the tv right now. the telecom oligopoly needs to be taken down. i must watch this game
