  • RealNealDeal

@p_barbeau @TuraEmanuela @DrKathleenRoss1 Sorry, I have to ask. How does Telus get away with charging service fees to access longitudinal care then? I don't get how they're allowed to do what doctors cannot.

  • ChrisSadeler
Christiane Sadeler (@ChrisSadeler) reported from Saanich, British Columbia

@TELUS you may want to check Twitter for comments on @koodo. Or check the @koodo community board. A lot of upset people for terrible service. One more try from me to get the money due to me and my next move is CRTC. #unbelievable corporate arrogance and inaptitude.

@dewolfe001 @TELUS I really wanted to switch to Telus but everyone I spoke with was so inept I ended up staying with Shaw and their substandard service. I just couldn't imagine having to deal with them as a customer when discussing switching and becoming a customer was so very bad.

Sarah Campden (she, her) (@scampden) reported from Saanich, British Columbia

I haven't used it yet, but for those that have, is Telus Health fee based service? I think I may need an antibiotic and the thought of waiting outside a non-existent walk in clinic is awful #bcmed #yyj

  • canukgenie
Penny Holt (@canukgenie) reported from Saanich, British Columbia

@gillrh They are the worst, along with mobile phone plans. You should have been a fly on the wall where Chris took on Telus. Not pretty.

@MACIConventions @TELUSsupport 30+ mins. I wish. I had to hang up at 2 hours and 3 mins. No one ever answers. I sent a DM to them on Friday and it was just answered 5 mins ago with a “sorry we can’t assist you via social media but we encourage you to call Telus”. Such a freaking joke.

@TELUS @TELUSsupport as long as this keeps going on I will advise our new neighbours to go to @Shawhelp a lady yesterday was having problems with telus to move in next month so now she is calling shaw this morning. Shaw as been brilliant.

@MirandaWiebe @TELUS Same here 4 hours and someone was supposed to call me back within 30 minutes twice now and I'm still waiting. Really bad customer service and I started at 730 this morning

  • holtyny

@TELUS sucks 10mins with @Shawhelp and it's all sorted for Friday installation...

  • brandonscript

I didn’t cost Rogers a dime in staffing in the last 12 months, and I’ve been a pretty easy going customer for 15 years. I’m done though. I’m done being their customer. I want a cell phone plan with a company that isn’t this despicable, but sadly Telus and Bell are on that list.

  • olyfilmgirl

Switching back to Shaw for internet. Although Telus's website said our service wouldn't change, the guy Drew talked to said we could only get slower internet. So, just waiting for Shaw order to process. And who new self install was a thing?

  • audiophilia

@TELUSsupport @TELUS thx Dave in Tech Support (via phone). The hour long hold was worth it. Total professional and very effective. Did he know his stuff! 👍👍

  • LloydMildon
Lloyd Mildon (@LloydMildon) reported from Oak Bay, British Columbia

On my @TELUS optik TV I now have to watch ads before I am permitted to move on to the programming. This is horrible. I’m the customer. I’m the guy paying the bills. Just stop it, @telus. @telussupport

  • JRossfamilymed

@DrRitaMc @cpsbc_ca @BCFamilyDoctors Hahahahha is that us after death? Maybe that is a new service telus health could offer? Communication with the dead doctor?

  • suestroud

@mackenzie_moira @unionwill @TELUS Even without the pandemic, for the amount the gouge from us service should be far better whether phone, tv, internet etc.

  • vicmomdoc
Jenn Tranmer (@vicmomdoc) reported from Langford, British Columbia

@antric @TELUS @ShawInfo Yup @ShawInfo asked me to DM. Then I did. Then they didn’t respond. I tried their virtual assistant online. No response either. I get better service in Nicaragua than here. @cbcmarketplace help.

Why ******** does telus keep calling me at 745pm every night and hanging up? Get real.

  • tesla_tours
Tesla Tours (@tesla_tours) reported from Victoria, British Columbia

@EmmaCParston @Google People complain that high quality electronic products by companies like Apple and Tesla are overpriced until they waste valuable time on the alternatives. For my part, I’m wishing I’d stayed with Fido & Shaw instead of getting duped into Telus’ marketing-first service-last model

@wealthmoose I'd do this in crayon if that would help. This is called a business deal. Google it, it happens all the time. ie: Bell and Telus and Rogers each use the others network as it saves them $ so they don't have to build an entire network saving them $. You seem ignorant of business.

@_northwords I'm in the Sardis Library right now on 5G, with Telus no less, and I can't watch a 30-second basketball clip. I know, first world problems, but I can't access work mail in the Community Forest area. Whereas my wife had cell coverage atop Kilimanjaro and in rural China.

@bcbluecon Even in Central Coquitlam at my business , y over y we pay more and y over year @telus service gets worse. Multiple dropped calls per week. Dead zones. Ridiculous given what we Canadians pay. Time of emergency I can’t imagine how bad it must be.

@mikeinthevalley @TELUS @TELUSsupport I was 9 1/2hrs on the phone over 2 days with Telus trying to get my mom’s stuff sorted after my dad passed away. Their customer service is the biggest freakin joke. They also missed multiple scheduled callbacks from customer service agents and “managers”. Never again is to soon!

@AngelaUnspoken I only connected the dots recently when my phone crashed and I had to replace it. Started searching for the best mobile phone rates and explored the links: Interesting that there are only Three Major Networks and Subsidiaries in Canada Telus Network Family ◦Telus Mobility: Main carrier providing nationwide 5G coverage. Visit Telus. ◦Koodo Mobile: Mid-tier flanker brand owned by Telus. Visit Koodo. ◦Public Mobile: Value/prepaid brand operating on the Telus network. Bell Network Family ◦Bell Mobility: Major national carrier. Visit Bell. ◦Virgin Plus: Flanker brand offering mobile and-home services. ◦Lucky Mobile: Prepaid discount brand. Rogers Network Family ◦Rogers Wireless: Major national carrier. ◦Fido: Popular flanker brand. ◦Chatr Mobile: Discount brand focused on talk, text, and budget data. One Independent / Regional Network ◦Freedom Mobile: Major regional carrier owned by Quebecor. It looks like Virgin Plus at Bell offers the best plan at the best rates and Koodo at Telus plays a lot of pricing games on customers. So few choices in Canada. Wonder how that happened?

@VanIsleInvestor I figure I can make back the extra $100/month I lost in the dividend cut by cancelling my internet Telus internet service and land line and going with JUTE and VOIP. I will have to pay an extra $150 in cancellation fees but will make over $1000 in savings for the rest of the year.

  • ClaireRattee
    Claire Rattée (@ClaireRattee) reported

Northwest B.C. cannot continue to be one cut cable away from losing critical communications. Following yet another widespread telecommunications outage on August 2, reportedly caused by copper cable theft, I have written to the Minister of Citizens’ Services asking what the Province is doing to improve the resilience and reliability of our telecommunications infrastructure. When these outages happen, the consequences go far beyond inconvenience. Residents can lose access to emergency information, businesses can’t process transactions, families can’t communicate, and entire communities can be left without reliable access to essential services. After the major outage in May, my office raised concerns with both TELUS and the Province about the lack of redundancy in Northwest B.C. and asked what was being done to prevent another widespread disruption. Months later, we are still waiting for meaningful answers, and now it has happened again. Copper theft is a growing problem, but whether an outage is caused by theft, wildfire, severe weather or infrastructure failure, our communities should not be left so vulnerable to a single point of failure. I’m asking the Province for clear answers on redundancy, infrastructure investment, emergency connectivity, and what steps are being taken with telecommunications providers to ensure Northwest communities can stay connected when something goes wrong. Reliable telecommunications are essential infrastructure, and Northwest B.C. deserves the same level of reliability and resiliency as the rest of the province.
