Switching back to Shaw for internet. Although Telus's website said our service wouldn't change, the guy Drew talked to said we could only get slower internet. So, just waiting for Shaw order to process. And who new self install was a thing?

Does anyone have any idea why some @Microsoft web properties (recently LinkedIn and Visual Studio Marketplace) randomly refuse connections? Appears to only be an issue on @Telus IPv6. Mobile data and IPv4 are not affected. 🤬🤯

All I want for Christmas is more than one bar (at best) of cel service in Royal Bay. Get it together, @TELUS /@Bell. I’ll switch to @rogers if they’ll do something about this. 2.5 years of this is ridiculous!

  • GordieLogan

Oh @TELUS, as a 30yr+ customer, I’ve never been so frustrated. I just had my appt for tomorrow cancelled. All because fiber hasn’t been run to the house yet. This is after an appt last week was cancelled for the same reason. Plz note, I made last weeks appt a month ago.

  • RealNealDeal
    H. Neal Cropper (@RealNealDeal) reported from Metchosin, British Columbia

@dewolfe001 @TELUS I really wanted to switch to Telus but everyone I spoke with was so inept I ended up staying with Shaw and their substandard service. I just couldn't imagine having to deal with them as a customer when discussing switching and becoming a customer was so very bad.

I haven't used it yet, but for those that have, is Telus Health fee based service? I think I may need an antibiotic and the thought of waiting outside a non-existent walk in clinic is awful #bcmed #yyj

Telus has made 0 attempt to contact me about my TV taking longer than the "few weeks" promised when I signed up 16 wks ago. I was told weeks ago there was a Covid related delay & that someone would contact me. No contact. No stock problems @ Bestbuy. Where is my TV? @TELUSsupport

  • bellasugarsega

I was a @Shawhelp customer for 5 years, until today. Cancelling my service and going with Telus instead. Don’t use this company for internet services, all you’ll have is regrets and ****** hardware.

  • RealNealDeal

@p_barbeau @TuraEmanuela @DrKathleenRoss1 Sorry, I have to ask. How does Telus get away with charging service fees to access longitudinal care then? I don't get how they're allowed to do what doctors cannot.

@EComm911_info congrats on your new Dispatch centre here in Victoria, however tried calling to report an incident and it was like calling Telus and was on hold for nearly 10min as it said call takers were busy. As such, missed the ability to report as parties left scene #yyj

@MACIConventions @TELUSsupport 30+ mins. I wish. I had to hang up at 2 hours and 3 mins. No one ever answers. I sent a DM to them on Friday and it was just answered 5 mins ago with a “sorry we can’t assist you via social media but we encourage you to call Telus”. Such a freaking joke.

  • tesla_tours
Tesla Tours (@tesla_tours) reported from Victoria, British Columbia

@EmmaCParston @Google People complain that high quality electronic products by companies like Apple and Tesla are overpriced until they waste valuable time on the alternatives. For my part, I’m wishing I’d stayed with Fido & Shaw instead of getting duped into Telus’ marketing-first service-last model

  • JRossfamilymed

@DrRitaMc @cpsbc_ca @BCFamilyDoctors Hahahahha is that us after death? Maybe that is a new service telus health could offer? Communication with the dead doctor?

  • Jeffdthompson
    JT🇨🇦 (@Jeffdthompson) reported

One of Canada's largest telecom companies just became a real estate developer. And the story behind how is worth paying attention to. Telus owns over 2,300 institutional properties across Canada. Most of them were built decades ago to house copper-based telephone exchange equipment the backbone of the country's phone system. As Telus migrated to fibre optics, that equipment shrank dramatically. Suddenly they had hundreds of well-located properties in the heart of Canadian communities sitting largely empty. So instead of selling, they decided to build. Through an initiative called Telus Living, they are now repurposing and monetizing those former exchange sites into purpose-built rental housing. The company has identified approximately 200 sites for alternative uses. The projected stabilized value of the portfolio could reach up to $3 billion. The execution is already well underway. Their first building in Nanaimo received its occupancy permit at the end of April and began welcoming residents last week. Vancouver's Point Grey is under construction. A further 18 properties are proposed to add over 3,000 homes across BC over the next six years, with plans to expand to Alberta and Quebec. Telus Living could eventually deliver 5,000 to 10,000 units in BC alone. There are a few things that make this story interesting beyond the headlines. First, the locations. These aren't suburban greenfields. They are infill sites in established neighbourhoods, exactly where rental housing demand is highest and new supply is hardest to create. Telus didn't have to find the land. They already owned it. Second, the model. Telus Living could eventually be converted into a REIT, turning a telecom company's real estate liability into a standalone investment vehicle generating long-term rental income. Third, the broader signal. When a company with no background in real estate development looks at its asset base and sees a $3 billion housing opportunity, it tells you something about where value is being created in Canada right now. The housing crisis and shifting technology created an opening. Telus walked through it.

@howisthismylif @TELUS 100% shady. Nobody should be buying anything from outbound sales. I worked sales, mostly in telecommunications for 20 years. The worst cases of fraud and lies come from 3rd party outbound sales.

Huge Fail #Telus @TELUS @TELUSsupport International Easy Pass doesn't work in the United States. If my wife flew to Peru or Afghanistan she would be covered. She flys to Seattle and incurs $100 dollars in overages minutes after stepping off the plane.

@jodyvance @TELUS Federal policies are limiting the choices you have for WIFI/Cable etc. Thus the service sucks just like the government sucks.
