Had a good talk with .@Shawhelp this weekend. After 20+ years of service, they played the greed game and didn’t want to talk. Called @TELUS and so happy to talk and worked a fabulous deal. father in law is happy as he will be saving $600/ year on home internet, cable and phone.

  • pcryan5 Peter Ryan 🇨🇦🇺🇦 (@pcryan5) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@AmyBeeman @TELUS @TELUSsupport I start by asking - “how do I transfer my phone/cable/whatever service to another vendor?” Watch the costs drop from there…

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Every week @TELUS calls my phone and asks for my husband and every week I tell them to call his number and every week they apologize and say ok and every week they forget and every week I hang up on them because every week I still don’t want their crappy internet service.

  • EastvanTrev Trevor (@EastvanTrev) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

Scam calls are getting out of hand. Over the past couple of days, I've had 5 calls for missing packages from DHL, CRA is sending someone to arrest me three times over and as of 5 minutes ago, my fourth covid emergency and I need to call back ASAP... Hey @TELUS and @Rogers , I bet

  • PaulDoroshenko Prairie Paul (@PaulDoroshenko) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

I’m trying to contact @Telus business. Their website has no contact number. Took me 10 minutes and I found it on another site. I will do everything possible not to deal with @telus or Shaw. Imagine if you had a service interruption? Can’t call them? Ridiculous.

@YVRHousing We’re going back one day/week next month (I’m contracting at TELUS) and it’ll go up to 2-3 days eventually but that’s a huge change. I turned down a job with this same team in 2019 because they wanted people in the office 5 days/week then.

Anyone else having Koodo/Telus issues right now?

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@moodyangela @dustbobgod And they will allow you to hire out for help with your cables, instead of saying they won’t touch the cables and don’t know any one they could recommend that does. We are just supposed to be able to sort it all magically with Telus

  • camcavers Cam Cavers FKA Cam Cabers (@camcavers) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@infil00p Even if you didn’t you could have a cheap prepaid data plan running on the Telus network in the amount of time it takes to get to the closest London Drugs and back

@FeralChristineB @TELUS Problem is @Telus is a scam. They are not transparent at all.

  • camcavers Cam Cavers (@camcavers) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@Atomos @Cinecraig Or Edmonton. I knew a guy there who was a network engineer at Telus and wore shorts on casual Friday EVERY week of the year, because his new boss once said “at least this shorts nonsense will end in winter” in earshot of the guy.

  • MsYouDoYou BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@dustbobgod So far so good. We had to leave Telus, because it became unusable, and it’s been a delight ever since. With the exception of last week when the internet was out for most of a day but, hydro caused that problem. I was hesitant but happy to have switched. My wifi works now.

  • vicwozniak Vic Wozniak (@vicwozniak) reported from Surrey, British Columbia

@infil00p I think they fixed it late evening, but I’m not sure; wife and I are on Telus and I actually just finished moving both my kids’ phones from Speakout (which uses Rogers network) to Public prepaid sims, which is obviously Telus as it was bought out in 2016.

@PierrePoilievre I remember Tony Clements trying to bring in us wireless carriers back in 2015. But TELUS whipped Canadians into a frenzy about evil us carriers. I immediately dropped TELUS on the spot and went Verizon. Twice the service and data for the same price. In Canada!

  • rbrtmllr Robert Miller (@rbrtmllr) reported

@JayLaw1 @kavs86 Also of interest, Koodu will let you buy the device outright, but Telus (like Bell) will at most let you pay down 1/2 the device fee, which means higher monthly bills, and I like to hold devices for 3-4 years.
