There is a fibre optic line issue and they have the service company Nokia on the way to assess the issue. If they have to replace hardware then the connection will go down completely for a while but they don’t know that yet

Michael Smit (@msmit) reported1/ Update on @shawhelp fiasco. They have turned off the email account for my 83-year old mother, who needs it for EVERY important account she had with my father. Shaw Customer Service told her to signup for gmail and call all of her important accounts to change access details.
