Had a good talk with .@Shawhelp this weekend. After 20+ years of service, they played the greed game and didn’t want to talk. Called @TELUS and so happy to talk and worked a fabulous deal. father in law is happy as he will be saving $600/ year on home internet, cable and phone.

  • EmptyUK
Mat Thomas (@EmptyUK) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

The inane @TELUS 1.5% credit card bill charge is just another gouge. I pay them so much money already; it’s time to look elsewhere. Also, my actual cell phone coverage is pretty terrible even in my apartment. #CashGrab

  • ShamimAbbassi

@TELUS @Fidomobile we expect the same support from you as well. So many Iranians need this support. #MahsaAmini

  • MsYouDoYou

@TheFalconer @TELUS Also **** off. As a business owner who processes transactions, I pay insane fees for everything I do. And so do the clients. And probably the staff. Pay your own fees you dumb *****.

  • camcavers
Cam Cavers (@camcavers) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@Atomos @Cinecraig Or Edmonton. I knew a guy there who was a network engineer at Telus and wore shorts on casual Friday EVERY week of the year, because his new boss once said “at least this shorts nonsense will end in winter” in earshot of the guy.

So glad we got DAZN for the singular reason that Telus has too many ridiculous problems.

  • ProfLalonde
Patrick C. Lalonde (@ProfLalonde) reported from New Westminster, British Columbia

@reporteremma Telus, Bell, and Rogers played these games in Windsor, Ontario (where I formerly lived) for years. The only solution I found was them adding a note / rule on my account that I wasn’t liable for roaming in Michigan. But it’s annoying having to call to back out charges. Frustrating

  • BLeeLoganberg
Bobbi-Lee Loganberg 🌻 (@BLeeLoganberg) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@Solidchick4life August billing cycle, not the bill I just paid... It will not be enough to cover the inconveniences. I’ll be switching to TELUS as I no longer need TransCanada service.

  • PingRD
Ross Derewianko (@PingRD) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

So @TELUS is doing a #purefiber upgrade in my building, they managed to knock @Novusnow down in half the building. When asked the techs stated "Novus must have a down fiber". I investigated and it turned out to be a loose ethernet cable...

  • punkrokk65
johnny V. (@punkrokk65) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TELUSsupport Was on hold for the ‘next available’ customer service agent at TELUS for just over 3 hrs today and finally gave up… (they said when I called my wait time would be ‘up’ to an hour)… guess they work on a different time clock then most.

  • PaulDoroshenko
Prairie Paul (@PaulDoroshenko) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@TedNesNA @TELUS @TELUSBusiness I overpaid on my dad’s account after he died. They’ve never refunded it.

  • pyeinburnaby
Grant Dawson (@pyeinburnaby) reported from Buckingham Heights, British Columbia

@roguekiwi1 I feel your pain. It is now 3:45pm Saturday. I finally got through at 3pm today after starting at noon. They said the reboot of the system that they suspended in error would take 15minutes it has been 45 minutes and still nothing. 😡😡😡#telussucks #telus #terrible

  • ImJustPrinceA
Prince (@ImJustPrinceA) reported from Port Moody, British Columbia

I hope Telus goes bankrupt. They call me the day I’m moving to tell me “we can’t provide services until Nov 8.” What ******** am I supposed to do for 2 weeks with no internet? Worst part is they knew it needed to be postponed a week ago. They just didn’t say anything.

  • bh_
b ran out of time (@bh_) reported from Mount Pleasant, British Columbia

Rogers, Telus, Bell was too many. I think we should all just stop doing business with Bell. They’re already weakened. If we can get Rogers, Telus, Bell down to 2 then that just seems like a better amount to me.

  • Ryansisson7
VWbugNuT (@Ryansisson7) reported from Pitt Meadows, British Columbia

@TELUS The call-back service doesn't even call my phone it goes directly to my voicemail. What can you do about this disservice to your customers who can only wait on hold an hour to speak with a representative?

  • asianhabibti
Karla كارلا جبيلي (she/her) (@asianhabibti) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

Hassled 3 different customer service people from Telus on the phone for an hour and a half and got my monthly phone/cable/internet bill down $80. It pays to be a Pain In The ***.

  • MsYouDoYou
BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

@dustbobgod So far so good. We had to leave Telus, because it became unusable, and it’s been a delight ever since. With the exception of last week when the internet was out for most of a day but, hydro caused that problem. I was hesitant but happy to have switched. My wifi works now.

  • MsYouDoYou
BdblE (@MsYouDoYou) reported from Burnaby, British Columbia

It’s a refreshing change from weeks of condescending ineptitude from Telus technicians to have a Shaw person here who seems to know what a network cable is.

  • dave_pasin
Dave Pasin (@dave_pasin) reported from Vancouver, British Columbia

@keithbaldrey Good for @Telus to remedy the issue with the call centres and finding ppl to man the phones. Just curious why Telus can’t respond to actual customer concerns that quickly & remedy issues that arise. Funny how that works.

@telus big pet peeve of mine is having to call in to a service provider because they have made severe errors on a bill. Makes me think this nonsense is intentional because the average person doesn't catch it.

@PWHL_Minnesota How can we watch this in Canada? Telus and the CBC are Horrible. I got off work early and still, I can't find the game. Help?

  • pacific0__
    speck (@pacific0__) reported

@RogersHelps The payment arrangement should take priority over the autopayment. Thats how it worked with Telus and how it should be working with every network provider. However, given that you’re all the same anyways, can’t say I’m surprised. I will be exploring my options. Horrible 1st month

  • VodkaFlashback
    Vodka (@VodkaFlashback) reported

@BrandonWealth Telus is gonna get a fat 50% dividend cut next quarter. Once it does… I will buy it as then it’s debt financing and future become possible. Right now that thing is hot garbage. Waiting on that stock to bottom out while I ride semi’s and oil.

  • neil_xbt

CANADA JUST SAID NO TO SENDING ITS AI DATA TO AMERICAN SERVERS. Telus is building a sovereign AI network in Vancouver. Three sites. 60,000 GPUs. 150 megawatts of NVIDIA-powered computing capacity by 2032. All of it Canadian-owned. Canadian-operated. Funded in part by the federal government specifically to keep Canadian AI data, intellectual property, and competitive advantage from leaving the country. The first facility in Quebec already launched. Already fully booked. Already ranked on the TOP500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers. Vancouver is next. The race to build sovereign AI infrastructure is not just happening in the US and China. Canada has just entered it seriously. Follow @neil_xbt for more AI infrastructure signal that tracks where the real compute is being built.
