Hi @RogersHelps my internet isn’t working. I think the issue is with the modem, as opposed to a service interruption. Only the power light is on - none of the others are lit up or flashing. How can I go about getting a new modem?

@Rogers you need to fix your system. Tired of being told that I'm eligible to finance a phone with zero down only to find out you want me to buy it outright. Not very good customer service if you ask me and none of your agents will help.

@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps It should also be noted that cellular bandwidth is finite. That is, if there are many customers in the area with same service, they all share the same bandwidth which usually results in slower speeds

@7N7420 @Rogers I could certainly. I would rather see them have to forfeit the entire month's bill if they fail to provide service.

Hey, @RogersHelps, my home internet is down. Rebooted modem twice, no bueno. Any know outages in Ottawa?
-
CircularLogic
(@CircularLogic89) reported
@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps While higher freq have greater bandwidth, they don't travel as far nor penetrate as well as lower freq (ie 700MHz). So it would be more susceptible to interference, like trees or buildings. Unfortunately, it may not be a solution for every situation

CircularLogic
(@CircularLogic89) reported
@BuNdOAVFC @RogersHelps Their Wireless Home Internet is based on sending/receiving signals from cellular towers. It would be limited by the same issues which cause interference for radiowaves. There are many factors which can affect cellular reception. Not sure what freq they use, but Bell uses 3500 MHz
